The song deals with religion but I'd say it's not about non believers, who will be punished. I'd say it's about bad people who use the fear of god and hope, to make others do what they want them to. Maybe there's also an relation to terroristic leaders, who're teaching wrong behaviours and promising a wrong "artificial truth".

But the "I" in the song does not need to listen to such people. They can't make him affraid! He does "not need to be saved", because he's going his own way.

This song probably deals with religion, sects and further "soul collectors"

yes this song is about the corruption of the church as fear devours all doubts ... obviously describes peoples' fear of being sent to hell that they forget god doesnt even fucking exhist... ps.. did Dual even read the lyrics? nay. did he read the bands name?

to me this sone is about how people try to rule the world and how what the news or media shows us isnt really whats going on, but what they want us to think, as in everything is ok, and not to mind whats really going on " Teaching you an artificial truth, that you will grieve no more, that you will die no more"

"Narrow minded mercenaries, slave traders, soul collectors, Send a promise of destruction to those who will not kneel" - to me thats saying how we have modern day slave traders (corporations, sweatshops ect. and how if you dont kneel to them, and do things their way, they will find a way to destroy you)

this last part is telling me how hes standing up against all the corruption, and how he knows whats really going on, and hes the counterweight, the one thats gonna swing right back, and fight back and he doesnt need to be saved like they claim you do

then again, after re reading the lyrics, i can see how it can be about religion too

It is a big FUCK YOU to religion, showing there is no need to be saved b/c you cannot be saved.

This song is for Corrupt Religious Leaders.. they are using the message of God to Corrupt the money of their members..

Of course it's about corruption and church leaders threatening fire and brimstone on the weak minded and fearful to get them to bend to the will of the church.

I think when he says "You cannot save me I am the counterweight No need to save me; for I am the counterweight" I think he is referring to the rapture saying he is the anti christ and therefor he cannot be saved
