1, 2, 3 Lyrics

1,2,3
Y en a 1 de trop
C’est pas toi c’est l’autre

Assis en face un soir
Beau comme un étranger
On a échangé un regard
Et maintenant je veux t’échanger

1,2,3

1,2,3
Mon soleil c’était toi
Je suis perdue

3,2,1
C’est trois fois mieux toute seule
Sans compte à régler
Et puis de deux perdus
10 de retrouvés

Dix de retrouvés

1, 2, 3 There is one too many It's not you, it's the other

We sat opposite one evening beautiful like a stranger We exchanges regards And now I want to exchange you

1, 2, 3 It's better as two Eyes within eyes

But two without three I want to live without you Or all is disturbed

I passed his twin in the strees When I am in your in your arms I see nothing but him

We sat opposite one evening beautiful like a stranger We exchanges regards And now I want to exchange you

We sat opposite one evening beautiful like a stranger We exchanges regards And now I want to exchange you

I want to echange you

1, 2, 3, My sun, it was you I am lost

i love this song. the french language is a great playground for words. camille is great at using rhyming words with totally different meaning and connecting them. but for an american it can become quite a tongue twister to differentiate between toi and trois every other verse haha.

the last line is slang for "there's more fish in the sea" "Un de perdu, dix de retrouves"

I think the singer of this song is having trouble deciding how many lovers to have. First she describes a tiring threesome, then her dissatisfaction with her partner, before she finally settles on herself. I think the orchestral climax accompanying her countdown "3, 2, 1" is symbolic of a physical climax that she has given herself (think lying on a bed...)
