Shake your money maker like somebody 'bout to pay ya
I see you on my radar, don't you act like you afraid of shit
You know I got it, if you wanna come get it
Stand next to this money like, ayy, ayy, ayy
Shake your money maker like somebody 'bout to pay ya
Don't worry 'bout them haters, keep your nose up in the air
You know I got it, if you wanna come get it
Stand next to this money like, ayy, ayy, ayy

Shake, shake, shake your money maker
Like you were shakin' it for some paper
Took your mama nine months to make ya
Might as well shake what your mama gave ya
You, you lookin' good in them jeans
I bet you look even better with me in between
I keep my mind on my money, money on my mind
But you's a hell of a distraction when you shake your behind
I got J.O. up on my right side pourin' some cups
My whole hood is to my left and they ain't giving a fuck
So feel free to get loose and get carried away
So by tomorrow you forgot what you were sayin' today
But don't forget about this feeling that I'm making you get
And all the calories you burn from me making you sweat
The mile high points you earn when we taking my jet
And how everywhere you turn, I'll be making you wet 'cause you can

Shake your money maker like somebody 'bout to pay ya
I see you on my radar, don't you act like you afraid of shit
You know I got it, if you wanna come get it
Stand next to this money like, ayy, ayy, ayy
Shake your money maker like somebody 'bout to pay ya
Don't worry 'bout them haters, keep your nose up in the air
You know I got it, if you wanna come get it
Stand next to this money like, ayy, ayy, ayy

Switch, switch, switch it from right to left and (and)
Switch it 'til you runnin' right out of breath and (and)
Take a break until you ready again and (and)
You can invite over as many friends as (as)
You want to but I really want you
Just be thankful that Pharrell gave you somethin' to bump to, hey (hey)
Luda, I'm at the top of my game
You want my hands from the bottom to the top of your frame
And I just wanna take a lil' ride on your curves
And get erotic, givin' your body just what it deserves and
Let me give you some swimming lessons on the penis
Backstroke, breaststroke, stroke of a genius, yup
Call me the Renaissance man
Get up, and I stay harder than a cinder block, man, hey
I'm just a bedroom gangster
And I been meanin' to tell ya that I really must thank ya when ya

Shake your money maker (woo) like somebody 'bout to pay ya
I see you on my radar, don't you act like you afraid of shit
You know I got it, if you wanna come get it
Stand next to this money like, ayy, ayy, ayy
Shake your money maker like somebody 'bout to pay ya
Don't worry 'bout them haters, keep your nose up in the air
You know I got it, if you wanna come get it
Stand next to this money like, ayy, ayy, ayy

Release Therapy, rock, rock, rock, rock
Release Therapy, rock, rock, rock, rock

Rock, rock, rock it and make it work, girl
Please don't stop it until it hurt, girl
You, you been lookin' a little tipsy
So if you could just shake it a little this way
See I'm a member of the BBC
The original breadwinner of DTP
And you the center of attention that's distracting the squad
'Cause everybody in the camp is like, oh my God, she can

Shake your money maker like somebody 'bout to pay ya
I see you on my radar, don't you act like you afraid of shit
You know I got it, if you wanna come get it
Stand next to this money like, ayy, ayy, ayy
Shake your money maker like somebody 'bout to pay ya
Don't worry 'bout them haters, keep your nose up in the air
You know I got it, if you wanna come get it
Stand next to this money like, ayy, ayy, ayy

halfpunkhalfjock, someone seems to have anger management issues...as much as I agree the concept of this song is tasteless, there's no reason to throw an internet temper tantrum; yet you have the right to say whatever you want.

the main point of modern rap is to entertain, not to be taken seriously. sadly, most kids don't understand that but that isn't the fault of the musician. they have the right to say what they please just as much as you have the freedom to criticise them. so if there's anyone to criticise it's the fuck-ups who take ass shaking, big rim, pimp glorifying music videos seriously. makes me hang my head in shame.

and as for song meaning, it's pretty self explanatory but I do have to say I love the beat. call me a poser but this song is fucking catchy.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

When We Were Young
Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
