Kaleidoscope Lyrics
And place me in the sky
I lose my sense of time
How troubled I can be
But through your kaleidoscope
I let go
The world as it could be
Through your kaleidoscope
It's beautiful
A cluster of colors and twine
As we melt into wine
How troubled I can be
But through your kaleidoscope
I let go
The world as it could be
Through your kaleidoscope
It's beautiful

This song is one of the most beautiful songs i have EVER heard! My new fave by her (replacing NEW DAY)
To me, it talks about finding love, or more fitting, a new love, and how they make her/you feel.
Someone who gets you, who knows you, and understands the little things about you. Someone you feel comfortable being with and being able to 'let go' with them. They show you a new way to look at life and the world..

Wow. It's that new love feeling; when you meet someone and they show you the world through completely different eyes. They show you the world exactly as it should be. Perfect.

kaleidoscopes are really beautiful, they are made up of little tiny individual pieces. you can look at each piece by itself outside the kaleidoscope however, it is only when looking at the entire collection of pieces that you get the true meaning of it. she is referring to the way someone views her most likely a loved one- maybe this person sees the entire collection of her traits put together and finds it truely beautiful. also the part about "we melt into wine" maybe could be referring to the beauty of the collection of 2 people. like each person is individual but when put together something amazing appears..

the first line seems like it's straight out of romeo and juliet ("take him and cut him out in little stars, and he will make the face of heaven so fine..").
I was just about to say that too, but then I saw your comment :P

This is one of kate's song where I wish there was another verse. Very beautiful, though - I hope to find someone who'll show me their kaleidoscope..

i always thought it was "as we melt into wine" but i read the lyrics and it says "one" not "wine", i was a little disappointed... nevertheless, beautiful song!

This song is really beautiful. Imogen Heap is such an amazing artist and yes it is "as we melt into one" not "wine." That's okay though.
