You're running scared
You have to hide
And you have nothing more inside
The lives you lead have been so empty
No, no I don't envy a thing
About your money or your power hungry ideology
No, no not me
(No no!)

We aren't scared of your masks or your cloaks
'Cause we are wizards
And our hearts are filled with hope
With curses flying around, oh
We'll stand firm and hold our ground
Our friends, they will fight with us
'Til you say bitter end
But we say better and

You have no friends
You have no friends
You have no friends

You have no friends
You have no friends
But we have friends
Oh we have friends

And the damage you've done
We will mend it
The world can still be beautiful
And we will defend
For we are friends
And friendship you can't kill

Oh you feed on death
But life is sweet
Have you tasted it recently?
There's no life, no love in Azkaban
Oh will you miss it?
Do you even know about love?
Do you know about love?

You're all too scared or proud to admit
That you've made a mistake
No, you're on the wrong team
And you're doing whatever it takes
To be the Dark Lord's right-hand man
Though you know that he's just going to use your hand
In some dark potion's cauldron
And that will be your end
Now wouldn't you rather have a friend?
'Cause we have friends

And the damage you've done
We will mend it
The world can still be beautiful
And we will defend
For we are friends
And friendship you can't kill

Our friends, we will defend tonight
My friends will work together
Though the end may never be in sight
We know that love is ours forever

Our friends, we will defend tonight
My friends will work together
Though the end may never be in sight
We know that love is ours forever

It goes on and on and on and on and on
Our allegiance lies with friends
It goes on and on and on and on and on
Our allegiance lies with love
It goes on and on and on and on and on
Our allegiance lies with friends
It goes on and on and on and on and on
Our allegiance lies with love

Isn't that the best part about Harry Potter? The friendship, and the power of friendship, that any teenager can relate to? I love it! :P

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
