"Stormy Blues" as written by and Billie Holiday....
I've been down so long
That down don't worry me

I've been down so long
That down don't worry me

I just sit and wonder
Where can my good man be
When it rains in here
It's storming on the sea
When it rains in here
It's storming on the sea

Every time I come here
Everything happens to me
I lose my man
I lose my head
I lose my money
Feel like I'm almost dead
I need you honey
Need you bad as can be

I've been down so long
That down don't worry me

General CommentI think Billie is talking about depression and how even though it can hit her from time to time ("every time I come here...etc"), it doesn't cause her heartache ("that down don't worry me"). Instead, her blues was caused by the absence of her lover.

I've been listening to this song all day, and it feels like no other song can match the blues that's been catching me today. I feel you, Billie, I really do.
