These lyrics are wrong in subtle but important ways.

I love this song, it needs more comments

It's about how nothing ever quite goes the way that you planned. In the context of the story, it fits in a few places. Dean's parents didn't plan to have a child, but they did. And neither did Dean and his wife. The song foreshadows the end by saying that even though the future you planned for yourself is completely dead, you can now start to plan a new future incorporating the unexpected event, even though its hard because there are bound to be more unexpected roadblocks to your plan. And its hard to start rebuilding plans because you're not sure they will work out and now is your only time to run before you have to throw all of yourself into them (Its harder to fire, cause you don't have a clue).

[in 2 hours he plans to break it off with his girl. hes so sick and tired of the drama and jealously of whatever she's doing. The cure and virus line means that he can end this, but should he? Is he the jealous one... or is she being shady?]

[When you're breaking it off with someone you bring all the things you hate about them, so they wont be able to be like..."well ill change this and that...etc]

"maybe someday you'll find a way to balance pressure but you're slow and you're jealous like a child. "

[talking about how he can't deal with the pressure of jealousy. He would rather be jealous than possibly be hurt from not being so.]

"waking up things that found a way to dream forever get your gun cause the flock is flying in."

[bringing up past things that may have been talked about between the both of them before.. get your gun represents him getting ready to get the same thing back towards him and to defend himself and make himself in the right.]

your dress is nice, casual but yet strangely eloqent. your eyes are wide, you got them once, got them twice, now three's a charm. i'm watching you now you're right in my sight. i'm supposed to take you out and end this tonight.

[He saw her in person and his heart takes over, rather than his brain telling him to end it now. He is yet again in love with how she looks at him. He knows he wants to end it but is remembering the good times. but now he's got her in his sight and about to dump her]

but given this thought it's harder to fire because you don't have a clue

[He's feeling guilty that he didnt talk it over with her first, and it seems really really hard to do, and feels bad about dumping her. He really has no choice but to continue this meaningless relationship.. or end it now. He doesnt want to continue on when he's already lost all feelings he has for her.]

I heard this song and could instantly relate to it. Great song!
