Believe in what you think is real
The time it takes for her to steal
It's true
It's true
It's true
It's true

Feast your eyes over there
The perfect blunt to keep you undone
You know that she's the one
Believe it or not
You're staring at her hips
A cigarette in between her lips
The prize is in the bag, yeah

She knew before she came
She likes to play the game
She's all the time in the

It's true
It's true
Always

The worlds collide in between your head
The smell of men wanting her instead
Her intent is just to play

She knew before she came
She likes to play the game
She's all the time in the world

Believe in what you think is real
The time it takes for her to steal
It's true
It's true
It's true
It's true
Always

She moves like the devil
And knows what is evil
She'll rip your heart out
And find another prey

Believe in what you think is real
The time it takes for her to steal
It's true
It's true
It's true
It's true

    :) First comment.

Before I begin, mark my words - these guys will be big soon. They're great.

Anyway - if you haven't seen the video, you should. The quality is poor, and it was a low budget production, but it's still great, and will definitely help make the meaning a bit clearer. You can view the video here. [Hehe - I know the girl who played in the video as the 'sleaze', as I say, haha.]

It's simply about making mistakes and not jumping the gun. That's what the video makes of it, anyway.

The lyrics, however, tell a different story. When I first heard the song, I immediately knew I had the meaning down pat, or so I thought.

MY take on this song is thus: A young man [as the song speaks in third person of a girl] falls in 'love' with said girl. He is so blinded by his false love of her that he's shaded from her true personality. ["Believe in what you think is real"]

Then along comes her real intentions and true colors, and he's dumbfounded by it. ["Feast your eyes over there The perfect gun to keep you undone You know that she's the one Believe it or not You're staring at her hips A cigarette in between her lips The prize is in the bag, yeah"] In this he looks upon his 'true love' and sees what she really is - a bit of a sleaze, haha.

Then comes the argument. He confronts her and she tries to deny his story, but he knows what he saw, and he won't back down. ["Worlds collide in between your heads The smell of men wanted her instead Her intent is just to play"]

And then the following backs-up my opinion of her 'sleazy' behavior; that she plays men, basically. ["She moves like the devil And knows what is evil She'll rip your heart out And find another prey"]

I think the rest of it is simple enough to understand.

However, like I stated earlier - the lyrics and the video go together quite nicely, but the lyrics alone tell a different tale.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
