Every time I try to leave
Something keeps pullin' me back, me back
Telling me I need you in my life (JD, what's good?)
Every time I try to go (uh)
Somethin' keeps tellin' me that, me that
Everything gon' be alright (Slide Alot in the building, uh)
Every time I try to leave
Something keeps pullin' me back, me back
Telling me I need you in my life (So So Def in the building)

You were meant for me (y'all know what this is)
So that means we gotta make it work (what up? Oh)

Livin' that life (livin' that life)
She just didn't understand my lifestyle

But can't help it if Ching-a-ling be attracting all the girls (say what?)

Even though I'm on the road doin' shows

They tell me don't trust a woman in this industry
But she not any woman, more like a sacred friend to me (uh-huh)
Plus, when I'm outta town, always think of her (always think of her)
Might conversate with some chicks, but no one come above her (uh)
I thought I was your man, guess you ain't understand
And now I'm sittin' here lookin' crazy like, "Damn" (every time, I)

Every time I try to leave
Something keeps pullin' me back, me back
Telling me I need you in my life
Every time I try to go
Somethin' keeps tellin' me that, me that
Everything gon' be alright
Every time I try to leave
Something keeps pullin' me back, me back
Telling me I need you in my life
It was meant to be (uh)
You were meant for me (uh)
So that means we gotta make it work (hey)

Walk in the house from hard work, my head hurt
Instead of arguin', can I have dinner with some dessert? (Uh-uh)
She talkin' 'bout this phone number she found (man, what you talkin' 'bout?)
Didn't give me time to put my bags down
She straight up, clowned, ha (she straight up, clowned)
Before we end up fightin', let me leave (leave)
I'm exhausted and this herre, I don't need (I don't need)
Now I'm wit' the fellas, ridin' and drinkin' (ridin' and drinkin')
She blowin' my two way up, but I need some time for thinkin' (time for thinkin')
Yeah, I wanna go back, but something sayin' nah (nah)
Let me give her some space and the next day I might call (call)
What should I do? Look, let me ask y'all ( y'all)
Should I stay and talk or let this relationship fall? (Fall)
I ain't down wit' having my feelings crushed (everything gpn' be alright)
But it happens some times, either love it or give it up (hey)
I thought I was your man, guess you ain't understand
And now I'm sittin' here lookin' crazy like, "Damn" (every time, I)

Every time I try to leave
Something keeps pullin' me back, me back (every time, I)
Telling me I need you in my life
Every time I try to go
Somethin' keeps tellin' me that, me that (gotta pick up my things)
Everything gon' be alright
Every time I try to leave ('fore she realize)
Something keeps pullin' me back, me back (she messed up)
Telling me I need you in my life (and you ain't never comin' back)
It was meant to be (it was a good thing while it lasted, though)
You were meant for me (what?)
So that means we gotta make it work (Chingy, holla at 'em again)

To all the fellas know you feel me (feel me)
If you ever had a woman
Good times led to bad times and you ain't see it coming (uh-huh)
Try your best to make her happy (happy)
But it wasn't enough (it wasn't enough)
'Cause mama told me in relationships the road get tough (road get tough)
And I don't wanna have my head down, weepin', stressed out
As bad as it hurts, I gotta move to the next route (yeah)
I thought I was her man (uh), guess she ain't understand
And now she sittin' there lookin' crazy like, "Damn" (every time, I)

Every time I try to leave
Something keeps pullin' me back, me back
(Something keeps pullin' me back, baby)
Telling me I need you in my life
Every time I try to go
Somethin' keeps tellin' me that, me that
Everything gon' be alright (Tyerese, sing that)
Every time I try to leave
Something keeps pullin' me back, me back
Telling me I need you in my life
It was meant to be
You were meant for me
So that means we gotta make it work

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
