He's losing the girl now
His feelings overwhelm her so
But nobody told her
That's not always such a bad thing

It started in whispers
Came in when she had her man
Swept her away fast
And said, "there's been a change of plans"

At first she was spellbound
Hanging on his every word
Every touch perfect
She could kiss him all night
But he's no longer the bad guy
Now he's just her boyfriend
She doesn't know how to tell him
My dear, there's been a change of plans

She turns the phone off hide behind little lies
And shuts the blinds, turns the lights slow laying low
She tells herself that he won't mind, he'll never mind
And says goodbye but he can't hear it killing time

She's losing the boy now
Her feelings they pushed him away
Even though he had mentioned
This time we'd like to take it slow
She tried to get inside
He was having none of that
Then she started to pull back
She knew she had to change her plan

Soon it worked in a chase
All the way he wanted her
But after they made love
He got a little gun-shy
Now he's frightened to call her
She tries to play the waiting game
But then she just couldn't take it
She knew she had to change her plan

He turns the phone off hide behind little lies
And shuts the blinds, turns the lights slow laying low
He tells himself that she won't mind, she'll never mind
And says goodbye but she can't hear it killing time

[Repeat x4]
I'll stand witness to this prosecution
Crossing your fingers could they save me the damn sight
Mixed emotions, giggles as the tears dry
I need attention and she needs a solution

This song does not describe a 'crime scene' in a literal sense. In the song, there is a guy, a friend of sorts to this girl. At first she thinks he is the best thing since sliced bread, when she already has a boyfriend. He's telling her things to make her leave her current boyfriend, being the bad guy, kissing her behind the scenes. Then, when she finally breaks up with her boyfriend and goes out with guy 1, she realizes that he is no longer the 'bad guy', he is really a sweet guy, and she is not used to that. So, there is already this tension in the relationship. Then, in an effort to get him to be the bad guy, she tries to get him to sleep with her, he doesn't want to rush things, she changes her approach, and they end up sleeping together. He gets a littler nervous, he's deep in love, and she already had been slipping out of love with him. In the lines where it describes that she closes the blinds, it is in those lines where she is in her room with another man. And in the lines where he closes the blinds, he is in her room watching her cheating on him. the line "it's killing time" means that the relationship between the two is dead, the relationship was killed. Basically to sum this up, she likes the guy because he was exciting to her, she sleeps with someone else, and decides to try to save the relationship by sleeping with the guy, he gets nervous, and won't answer her calls, so she cheats on him constantly, and he catches her doing it. Simple as that. It's about a teen romance going to the toilet.

It's like a murder scene, but I'm not sure it's that straight forward a song.

I absolutely love this song, She Wants Revenge has beautiful lyrics. I can relate to quite a few of their songs, including this one. Here is what I feel this song means.

At first, this girl is starting to drift away from her current boyfriend. His feelings were pushing her away. Soon this other guy comes along and sweeps her off her feet. She looks forward to getting to see him every day, and even the slightest touch or a hug seems perfect to her. Especially seeing as thats all she can do since she has a boyfriend already. She breaks up with her boyfriend and doing this makes the new guy no longer the bad guy. So now they are together, and that was the change of plan. Later he seems to start drifting away from her. She sees it and realizes she has to change her plans again, which leads to them having sex, making her believe it will prevent him from leaving her. In the end, it only made matters worse; shes waiting for him to come to her but he isn't because he is "gun-shy" now. So now this has turned into a "prosecution" in a sense. Showing its going to end, even if you try and hope it doesn't. Theres just mixed emotions, "giggles as the tears dry", your laughing even though you just got done crying. He needs attention from her, she needs an answer to her problem.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
