Oh my god
I have the remedy for love
I struck the glass and broke the bones inside my fist but I'm ok
I cannot change you, you'll never change
I never would expect to break this in the end

Something so profound something you won't expect
Take this scripture like a picture and wear it around your neck
The sky it opens up don't get swallowed by the flames
What's mine is yours and yours is mine so take me away
You hear the sounds they're carried out

There's no sympathy for the dead
It swells and I was never the same
There's no sympathy for the dead
We dance like zombies do in the middle of the rain

We see the stones falling from the sky on fire
The blinding light beaming from your eyes our desire
Life has died yet we're still alive and down below
A sea of damned crashing like a tidal wave

I can't breathe wake up from this nightmare that I'm in
Dive into a holy river and wash away my sins
As I reach sanctified the surface of the water now
I will breathe and burn out my eyes

So take the medicines to quench the pain we have
And walk until the end until you've reached the sand

A hundred thousand wings soaring through the sky
At intense speeds we can't catch with our eyes
You hear the sounds of a third carried out
Just wait you hesitate

I have the remedy to the poisonous kiss
I struck the glass it shatters bones in my fist

This song reminds me of the apocalypse... you hear the sounds of a third carried out (in the bible i think the world is killed in thirds or something) we see the stones falling from the sky on fire (asteroids?) it's just a guess

    Not even man.

sreidc hit the nail RIGHT on the head. I could pull out like ten different quotes, but this song is DEFINITELY about the fact that these guys plan to make it big, and they know that no one has sympathy for dead or unknown bands. Basically, they're escaping that fate. dun dun duuuun? XD

I think in their biography it said it was about making use of the chances you have when you have them or something, like that was the bands main concept, with the band name and album title, i dont know if im remembering it exactly, but the apocolypse theory could be correct too. love this band so much.

I thinkk that this is about the end... (take this scripture, like a picture, wear it around your neck)- like..reffering to wat it says in the bible about the end times, telling u to believe wat it says?? maybe... (the sky it opens up, dont get swallowed by the flames) - thats like...yea, pretty much the world coming to an end (there's no sympathy for the dead) - maybe this means dead, as in, people who are damned to eternal death in hell. God will have no sympathy for them and will save only those who follow him. (life has died yet we're still alive) - life on earth has gone, but we're still alive, (we being those who go to heaven) (and down below, a sea of damned crashing like a tidle wave) - the people who are damned to hell are being killed all over the earth. from the perspective of someone in heaven? looking down at earth? (i dive into a holy river and wash away my sins) - maybe this is someone who is getting rid of their sins, so they can go to heaven...

I saw a picture of them in Alternative Press mag, and I thought they were gorgeous, among other things, so I looked up they're music. They're AMAZING. This song, is probably about the apocolypse, Like Idk, The guitar in teh beginning freakin owns.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
