I see you out on the dance floor shaking around
I see you out on an empty beach
I see you walking a one way street
It's the same as always

A star maybe you are
A star maybe you are
A new Madonna

In a way I can hear myself say
What is it worth
I say we meet on the last place on earth
It's insane as always

Maybe you are
A star maybe you are
A new Madonna

Is this the only way
You make it like a new Madonna

General CommentoO why hasnt anyone commented on this yet!!! such a good song!!! well atleast im first.
he's probly going crazy over a chick and sees her as a "goddess" (if you want to put it that way). thats what i see. the girl could be depressed though.. maybe thats why he falls in love with her.

General CommentOkay, this may be a stretch, but I think he's talking about lust in general.

"I see you out on the dancefloor shaking around.
I see you out on an empty beach.
I see you walking a one way street.
    It's the same as always."

He's just talking about seeing random people he thinks look interesting at the time. Everyone sees random people at places like the grocery store or mall (or wherever), and they imagine what an encounter with them would be like. Sort of like fantasizing?

My InterpretationI agree with doppelganger^ but I think its more about a girl who is so full of potential and beauty (a Star) but is so foolish and arrogant that she is nothing more then a New Madonna.
BTW its "the same as always" not "Its insane".
