didnt know it was a cover... it's a great song, with inspiring lyrics, i wish it was theirs.
i think lyrics are very simple, it's like dedicated to a friend who's having an awful time... but it will end (apparently soon) and this friend is getting over those things, he's laughing again and everything. basically the songs is saying "i wish you the best, you've been strong, and now bad times are ending"
same here, didn't know it was a cover.. I still prefer the bouncing souls' version though.. has a lot more energy, which is an ideal combination with the probably most optimistic lyrics ever written :) I can't start a day without this song and I'm so glad I've found it
You guys should really listen to more Kinks stuff. They're obviously a huge influence on the Souls. They had that whole positive energy and uplifting spirit.
Honestly, go through their catalog--I'm actually a little jealous you guys get to experience it
But back to this cover. The Souls definitely do this song justice. It's almost as if it were written for them.
