Your bottle's almost empty
You know this can't go on
Because of you my mind is always racing
The needle's breaking your skin
The scar is sinking in
And now your trip begins, but
It's all over for
It's all over for

You, for you
When you're on the edge and falling off
It's all over for you
For you
When you're on the edge and falling off
It's all over for

I know what runs through your blood
You do this all in vain
Because of you my mind is always racing
And it gets under my skin
To see you giving in
And now your trip begins, but
It's all over for
It's all over for

You, for you
When you're on the edge and falling off
It's all over for you
For you
When you're on the edge and falling off
It's all over for

And now you're dead inside
Still you wonder why
(It's all over)
And now you're dead inside
Still you wonder why
(It's all over)

And now you're dead inside
Still you wonder why
When you're on the edge and falling off
It's all over for you, for you
And now you're dead inside
Still you wonder why
When you're on the edge and falling off
It's all over for you, for you
And now you're dead inside
Still you wonder why
It's all over for

This is the best heroin song I've heard.

I know what runs through your blood (I know who you are/heroin) You do this all in vain (you get high in vain- it wont last- you do this all in your veins- its brilliant) Because of you my mind is always racing And it gets under my skin (like the needle you stuck in your arm) To see you giving in And now your trip begins

The singer obviously cares about the person, they worry about the abuser and their mind is always racing, its hurting the singer that the abuser gives in and the addictions killing them, dead inside/hollow/just a shell/no personality- brain dead

This has to be my most fav. Band ever!!! But anywayssssss….

To me, this song means that there is a relationship of some sort and its getting ruined by addiction. And the one who has an addiction is trying to control it. One of the people in that relationship always has to worry about the one who is abusing the drugs or alcohol [ because of you my mind is always racing ]

The one who is looking out for the “abuser” feels frustrated because they can’t do anything to help them once they have “given in”, and all the hard work that has been put into correcting those bad habits has gone to waste. [ and it gets under my skin, to see you giving in and now your trip begins, its all over for you. ]
So in general this song means to me that the abuser was trying to stop their addiction but they ruined their chance by giving in. And now their chance for a new beginning and a new life is over.

hopefully it isn't that bad of an explination.. but i did my best :P

i think this song is about someone he truly cares about that is wasting their life away by drinking, & doing heroin, or any type of drug. and all he can do is watch, and its breaking him apart because hes watching this person ruin their life and giving up on everything.. i think that this song speaks to alot of people who know someone going through this and have tried to help them, but really this person can only help themselves

This song has a kickass solo in it! Anyone want to put in here what the song is about? Otherwise I'll do it. I have a pretty good idea what it's about.

I think this song is pretty much about breakup. The way the guy tries to cope with his problems is through drinking. When he is broken up with some girl, he wonders why it's all over for him, and can't get her out of his head. I am probably way off haha... But oh well, I gave it a shot =/. I think that another message being sent in this is, once you start going downhill in something, you won't be able to get back up, hence the "when your on the edge and falling off, its all over for you."

I like the entire cd of course, but this one is definitely one of my favorites on the cd...

I associated this song with a drug addiction and how when you think your taking away problems with drugs its all over and your going to go down. I took needles breaking your skin, dead inside and still you wonder why, all in vain, it's all over, mind is always racing, can't go on, giving in and now your trip begins it's all over, as all references to the downword spiral and self destruction of drug addiction.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"
