Take this invitation
Bishop's queen to pawn
All of us were taken
All that was is gone

Of this information
Shames us one and all
Where's my compensation?
Watching others fall
Welcome to the fall

Everything is useless
Nothing works at all
Nothing ever matters

Welcome to the fall
Welcome to the fall

wow...no ones posted anything here!?! i fuckin love this song ..well..its on filth pig..a c.d. based around george bush sr....but it was written by ogre of skinny puppy if im not mistaken...so i dunno if it really has to do with bush sr...my guess is that it does..and that the lyrics arent about the season the fall but more of a downfall..like a nation going down the shitter

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.
