Matilda V Lyrics
Beauty bleeds from every pore
Proposing to Matilda V
When she’s too busy daydreaming
Seems to me you’ve gotten rotten
While I’m here and before I’ve forgotten
Saying who’s carrion exactly?
And who makes me sick when they’re happy?
It’s you.
Swear I’ve seen that dress before
An Irish wedding and a great British divorce
Spider mites might bear our witness
Honeymoons and tiny stars
The softest belly of hurricanes
Blows us far and foreign far away
Proposing to Mathilda V
Proposing to Mathilda V
Neatly winding PVC
When you gonna marry me?
Because you’re rude, you take without asking
You’re wrong, you aint switched or nothing
Proposing to Matilda V
When she’s too busy daydreaming
Seems to me you’ve gotten rotten
While I’m here and before I’ve forgotten
And who makes me sick when they’re happy?
It’s you.
Swear I’ve seen that dress before
An Irish wedding and a great British divorce
Honeymoons and tiny stars
The softest belly of hurricanes
Blows us far and foreign far away
Proposing to Mathilda V
Neatly winding PVC
You’re wrong, you aint switched or nothing

I think it says, "You're wrong; you ain't sweet, strong or nothing"?
Aaaanyway. I can only guess what this is about but either way, it's a great song.

I also thought that is was '"sweet, strong or nothing"' and 'softest Ballet of hurricanes'.
I'm not really sure about the meaning of this, Its quite open to interpretation. However, its sounds like it might be about a failed marriage proposal..
