This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.
So I never said thank you, for your hospitality.
When conversations were lacking context,
you were the hospital for me.
So now I sit here with depression,
and our cut up tongues flirt with disaster.
We've used lines to flirt with every one.
So we dance around our words.
You set the tempo! (I'll dim the lights, oh)
We all know that you're the reason. (The reason!)
Well, can we call the hospital?
I've been sleeping with the nurses.
For medication and we know,
This is my funeral.
The ambulance has missed my street.
And autumn's sliding up my sleeves again.
Well, hey Mr. Allure.
(The ambulance is late!)
I'm lacking medication.
(And you're lacking taste!)
It's our taste for this conflict.
(We're forced to create)
And I'll decide to describe our night.
(With our eyes wide open)
When the alcohol forms just right.
(Right across our face)
Yeah in the bottom,
yeah in the bottom of our lungs!
So we dance around our words.
You set the tempo!
(I'll dim the lights, oh!)
We all know that you're the reason.
(The reason)

Nurse! Nurse! Nurse!

This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version.
Great version of a great song,

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
"Loosing" is I'm pretty sure not even a word. "Losing" would be correct.
lol I love how the singer pronounces some of these words, like at the end he goes "NARSE NARSE NAAARSE!!!"
I agree with you LilRyan732 but it adds to the goodness of the song.
yeah I think it adds some urgency. this is an awesome song.
deng this song hasn't been commented in so long x]
idk really know what this songs about but I think he's refering to someone or something as the hospital...most likely a girl? haha. he needs the "medication" that certain person gives...
i totally agree. the main reason i listened to this song twice in a row when i first got it was because of the way alex said some of the words. like "thank" in the opening line.
It's because he's from Maine.<br /> Maine accent, haha.
