Argument Lyrics

Picture the scene
Crowds circle over 2010
The robots are on tour again
In separate transport stay together for their art
A new album written continents apart
Flash back ten years back to the start
Back to the start
Back to the start
Gonna get you bitch
Gonna get you…bitch
Ahhh
Shut up!
Shut up!
Shut up…
Fuck you
You are shit
You stink of it

You’re being pathetic
You’re gonna regret it
I’m hating you lately
I want my 3.80
You’re pulling that face in my space,
Same noises each day, rewind and press play
(rewind and press play x 2)
[x 2]

You always
You never
You always
You never
You always, you never
You always, you never.
[x 2]

Can you not
Can’t you stop
Can you not
Can’t you stop! Stop!
Can you not
Can’t you stop
Can you not
Can’t you stop! Stop!

You’re being pathetic
You’re gonna regret it
I’m hating you lately
I want my 3.80
You’re pulling that face in my space,
Same noises each day, rewind and press play
(rewind and press play x 2)

You always
You never
You always
You never
You always, you never
You always, you never.
[x 2]

Can you not
Can’t you stop
Can you not
Can’t you stop! Stop!
Can you not
Can’t you stop
Can you not
Can’t you stop! Stop!

Can’t you stop?
Stop!

Ego a go-go
Headaches
We gotta act more pro
Yeah
Just think of the fans
Stop the soap
Let’s break up
Make up
If we split we’re just another ex-band
If you want it to last
Back to the start
Back to the start
If you want it to last
Back to the start
Back to the start
Back to the start
Back to the start
If you want it to last
Back to the start x3
If you want it to last.

This song is based on the arguments Sue Denim and Dee Plume often have, and it's quite autobiographical in that sense. I personally think that it was their way of letting it all out and dealing with their differences, making something productive of them.

even when they're arguing they do it in style...

just thought i'd say... i think at the beginning of the song, they spell out 'boundaries'.

may be making it up.

still, sounds quite good to my ear! excellent song.

you do hear them spell out boundaries over 'you are shit, you stink of it.'

like 3.80 is the minimum wage over here. and although she hates her co-worker, she's in it for the money AND for the fans.

thats my interpretation anyway. :)

They say at the beginning 'Picture the scene, crowds circle over 2010...flash back ten years, back to the start' The song was written in 2000 - does the song in fact deal with not current arguments but what might happen in 10 years?

This song is great! Their style kinda remind me of Ladytron.
