22: The Death of All the Romance Lyrics
I loved this song from the second I heard it.
I think it's about a situation where a couple just don't love each other anymore, but they still try to work it and be together, even tho their romance is dead. why? maybe it's cos they feel comfortable with eachother and used to having the other around. I dont know. that's just my opinion.
brilliant song.
I love the way they meld the male and female voices in the chorus, symbolizing the shared feelings of pain and loss. Or just sounding cool.
Near heart-wrenching. About being in a relationship where you're constantly fed lies but you can't pull away from the person maybe. Feels like the lies and all other actions of the significant other is so horrible it'll end all possibility of there ever being true romance in life.
The song is obviously about a couple breaking up, however both still have feelings for one another. The girl is naievely in love with the guy as at first states that she "can't believe the things you say" and then goes on to say "Tell me the lies".
The guy is in a battle between love and some other force that is pulling him. He states his youth and inexperience with the line "I am 22" and is possilbly disillusioned with his "share of views". Then he goes on to say "Fasting love will lead us all to no where." After they break up for some reason he wants to avenge the death of romance.
