Theres a storm
It's comin' around
And the snow is fallin'
It's comin from the clouds

Don't you walk away
With my love
Don't you walk away now
From my home
I'm asking you to hear
My please I know the shelter of your arms
Walked into spin my vains
Need the Shelter of your arms

Theres a sadness
It's feeling my heart
And the sun is tearin' me apart

Don't you walk away with my love
Don't you walk away now I'm on my own
I'm asking you to hear my please I need the
Shelter of your arms
Walked into spin your vains
I need the Shelter of your arms
Shelter of your arms
Shelter of your arms
Shelter of your arms

I need the Shelter of Your Arms
Shelter of your arms
Shelter of your arms
Shelter of your arms
I need the Shelter of Your Arms

Absolutely exquisite song. Can't believe it didn't make the album. Or an album. Any. Seriously, how much better would anything ever be with this tacked on at the end?

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.
