Cowbell Lyrics
I’ve been a better lover with your mother.
Stars and cheeks – I hate you from the heart.
I came. I went. I jawed. I saw.
You came, came, went, went, you know I saw.
A lie to shake
A lie shake
I’ve been so sure.
Do you want to live a lie?
A lie to shake
A lie shake
I’ve been so sure.
Your roots, they run.
Your roots, they run run run.
Shame shot.
You came to me wrought with fear.
Cowbell shock
You coming
A lie to shake
A lie shake
I’ve been so sure.
Do you want to live a lie?
A lie to shake
A lie shake
I’ve been so sure, so sure, so sure…

THIS SONG IS THE BEST SONG OF 2006 SO FAR!

It doesn't matter what this song means. It's just awesome to listen to. I dare you to listen to this and hold still the hole time. You can't do it. I mean, it's not like a really dancey song or anything, but it just has this antsy, wonderful energy and it infects you.
Also, I love the line "I've been a better lover with your mother."

this was the first song I heard from Tapes n Tapes and I gotta say, I'm hooked...

Hell yeah heartbeats.. I saw Bridge Club play live and they were totally rockin'!!! I would suggest their new CD (I forgot the name) to everyone that loves rock!

it came out in 2005

Definitely a "good riddance" song! Or am I just projecting my recent divorce into every song I hear? Quite possible. Love the song, it makes me feel crazy free.

awesome song... i find myself, lately, either whistling the melody, or even singing "do you want to live a lie"
as to what it means...yeah. you got me ;)

Wow this is a sick song thx jooce for having the latest comment. I think its about him catching his girl cheating on him.

I think it's about cheating, It has to be. The first part of the song points entirely to it. The ending has me somewhat confused.

I agree. Well I mean, about not having to know what it's about. I also find it hard to not sing/yell along to, it's one of those songs you get looks because you're singing a bit too animatedly for other drivers' tastes.
