Stadiums and Shrines II Lyrics
Can I lift it in the night?
White undersides of my thighs look much better
In the dark light
And he’s big, and dumb,
And he’s… kinda scared
Well, he’s too old to be there
Of stadiums and shrines
You see something to cheer about
I’ll tell you that it’s mine
I’m sorry that your mother died
But that one wasn't my fault
I’m sorry anybody dies at all these days
With my own two eyes.

It's about someone losing their virginity.

Just wanted to point out that the "kid" who is "just looking for a ride" is probably the same kid from "They Took a Vote and Said No," the opening lyrics of which are "He's just a kid, he wants a ride."

Just a small correction to the line; I’ll stay —- in a trance You see something to reach about
I think it's actually Old stadiums and shrines You see something to cheer about...
Anyways...great great song

Wow, i've literally been listening to the 30 second tease for this song on itunes ever since the album came out in early May. Something dreamy and majestic in Krug's howling voice...i couldn't pick up the album until i got back from college, but damn was it worth the wait

i met spencer outside of a wolf parade show. he is softspoken and standoffish. he writes amazing songs. i can.t wait to see [..hear] what he does next.

Thanks Tavs, edited it. I took all the lyrics from a fansite and didn't look over them beforehand, just wanted to get them up here.

big- he has an erection dumb- he loses most rational thought before the act kind of scared- self explanatory

oh, ok

Although i love his voice, lol, not the type of voice to sing about someone taking their cloths off..

i think its about someone being pregnant or someone giving birth
