For a minute there I thought you were worth my time.
Now the introductions over,
There's something on my mind.
And now is the perfect time.
Lights out to sleep you go.
This poison's like your own.

Will you think about the things you did wrong?
And by the way where'd everybody go?
And I sat it up and you sat it down
And now it won't be long.

I'm drowning for your love.
Was this a mistake?
Oh my god was this a mistake?
Would I do it all again?
I'm drowning for your love.

I'm stranded and waiting for your touch.
Would I do it all again?

There's a car, by the bridge where nobody goes.
Keep on laughing with every blow.
Is it wrong to be so evil with so much joy?
Keep on laughing with every blow.
And these screams keep on bringing me out of my sleep.
That's what she said when she hit her final blow.

She lied! She didn't live at all.
A question with no answer and now it is resolved.
Would I do it all again for her dead body?

Poison Like your Own - Ok this song is kinda weird... I dated a girl about 2 years ago for about a year and the relationship was awful... it was one of those physical relationships... and thats all we had.. no love.. just physical. It was def. a learning experience... When i was younger i didnt have the chance to date different girls because i dated my highschool sweetheart for almost 4 years... but thats a different story... anyways this song is about poisoning someone.. to get out of a relationship... like dreaming about it... not really doing it.. You know how you can date someone and not really like them.. but you still dont want them to leave you??? well kill them and you dont have to worry about it.. haha not really but.. thought crosses your mind.. like " lights out to sleep you go, this poison is like your own" poison baby! also "set it up(poison), and you set it down"(meaning you drank it) then also.. "would i do it all again YAY!" so that means shes gone.. ok so remember this is all a dream your thinking this.... ok the bridge of the song is setting up whats really happening.. "theres the car, by the bridge, where nobodies goes, is it wrong to be so evil. with so much joy, and these screams, keep on bring me out of my sleep, thats what she said when she hit her final blow" well this clearly means while i was dreaming of poisoning her!! She poisoned me... and took me to this secluded area in the middle of no where and shes beating me out of my sleep... and kills me... and throws me in a lake... "drowning for your love" so with my luck the girl actually does what im thinking... kinda morbid... but she actually helped me write the song.. we just wanted to make it like a crazy story..

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
