Some say "Bein' on the top is like bein' on the bottom"
From the placid Philadelphia to the New York City Jungle.
My boy, my boy I'll be watching you.

As the days drift into memories. Nestled into trouble, send me to a party and leave me on the double.
My boy, my boy, livin' like you do.

Cecil, stick with the story.
21 is lots of fun and after that boring.
Cecil, stick with the story.
Opinions are often better left in the quarry.
C-C-C-C-C-C-Cecil, stick with the story.

Don't wanna end up sixty five alone and grey.
Don't wanna end up sixty five alone and gay.
And they really set the wheels on fire, set the wheels on fire.

Mama said, mama said, mamamamamama always said that a cowboy ain't more than ain't doin' the house of fun.
Tell, see fifty Indian's spirits where they broke their wings.
Nothing is. Giving up just you boy.

By the shed there is a woman. Who calls herself a charmer. And she whispers at the footsteps, big as Arizona, says: "Heed my boy, if everything you do"

She's so, sick with the story.
21 is lots of fun and after that boring.
Cecil, stick with the story.
Opinions are often better left in the quarry.
Now, C-C-C-C-C-C-Cecil, stick with the story.

Don't wanna end up sixty five alone and grey.
Don't wanna end up sixty five alone and gay.
And they really set the wheels on fire, set the wheels on fire.

Now he's heading out to Law School, to pick up his degree.
And he needs a girl who'll be for him, just what he wants her to be.
So long as there is money, so long as men are great.
He can settle in New Jersey and take pride in talking real estate.

But is there really nothing missing?
Of everything that's telling.
Like a line of dunking dohnuts who can say their life is just, something to get through.

Oh she should stick to higher mountains, and noble inhibitions.
She'll be comin' home to wife and kids with all their silly questions.
And the train is there and they're waiting on the platform just for you.

Now, Cecil, stick with the story.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
