Don't mess this up.

I told you 10 times.
It's like any other day.
Gotta act like nothing happened.
Watch what you say.
Put the car in drive.
Move it out real slow.
We'll take off like bullets.
And no one has to know.

You, you're gonna listen to me now.
Yeah you, you're gonna listen to me, you're gonna listen to me now.
You, you're gonna watch yourself this time.
You, you're gonna listen to me, you're gonna listen to me now.

I put my trust in you.
The way you trust in me.
Can you keep your head together?
Well let's just see.
No more tricks and no more lies.
Forget your dirty little secret.
Take my advice.

You, you're gonna listen to me, you're gonna listen to me now.
You, you're gonna listen to me, you're gonna listen to me now.
You, you better watch yourself this time.
You, you're gonna listen to me, you're gonna listen to me.

Oh the sun goes sleepy.
And the tears between us.
They make our hearts all dirty.
They never clean us.
Now don't get scared.
You've come this far.
You know what to say.
It's not so hard.

So you're waiting by the phone.
Think it's gonna turn around if you depend on them?
They're gonna let you down.
Tomorrow doesn't know.
What the past is all about.
Now can I keep a secret?
Well let's find out.

You, you're gonna listen to me now.
Yeah, you, you're gonna listen to me, you're gonna listen to me now.
You, you better watch yourself this time.
You, you're gonna listen to me, you're gonna listen to me now.
Listen to me!

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
