You stand there with your long black hair
Looking so fresh with your Savoir Faire
You've got the coolest friends
They're up to date with the latest trends
Independent in your own world
Rock the life girl. Rock the life girl
The DJ starts to play underground hits from What's their name?
You're looking kind of anxious your with your back up against the wall
Don't this kind of music make you want to move at all

Don't you walk away from me
Cause I got to get you next to me
If you've got game girl step to me
Lose them friends and Dance with me
Dance next to me, Dance next to me

Oh please Oh please Oh can't you see
That I got to get you b-ha-bay
To lose yourself with me
I must say that you captivate
In so many ways that I can't relate
But I want to be your latest thing
For you girl I'd do anything
I've never been attracted to a girl that's quite like you
We've got more in common than you think. You make me move
So what you gonna do girl
What you gonna
Gonna do

Don't you walk away from me
Cause I got to get you next to me
If you've got game girl step to me
Lose them friends and Dance with me
Dance next to me, Dance next to me
Oh please Oh please Oh can't you see
That I got to get you b-ha-bay
To lose yourself with me
Lose yourself, lose yourself
Lose yourself, just lose yourself

Don't you walk away from me
Cause I got to get you next to me
If you've got game girl step to me
Lose them friends and Dance with me
Dance next to me, Dance next to me
Oh please Oh please Oh can't you see
That I got to get you b-ha-bay

Well, it could be from God's point of view. Say there's this girl and she's with these "friends," like drugs, or other negative stuff. So he's saying to dance next to him, as in, leave that behind and follow God instead.

    OR

It could be something as simple as dancing in a club.

Either way, it's amazing, what else do you expect from FF5? (:

Shalanda, thats exactly why i think this about something slightly more significant than a relationship a guy has with some girl...

This one kind of confuses me. Since when is it ok for a guy to ask a girl to "lose herself to him?" Maybe it's just a little bold for me.

it says lose yourself with him.. not to him. so basically, get lost in the moment and the music and the fun.

this is a great song, especially if you see it from God's point of view.

    My Interpretation

for me this song sounds like an interracial hookup or smething. That's what I always get from hearing this song. Like him checking out a black or latina girl at a club. And she's with her friends and he see's her and finds her really exotic. Though he's never been attracted to a girl like her before, he's really digging her. She's brushing him off though, but he's being persistent. He's like "i know i may not be your type, but i think we might more in common than you think. So come and dance with me. Get to me.." idk

It's a song...not only to dance to but belch out while dancing in your room.

I agree with xrockx on this. And even if it is simply about a hookup in a dance club, unlikely, what is wrong with a guy liking a girl?

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
