The greatest (uh) romance (yeah, c'mon)
That's ever been sold (ooh uh)
(Uh)
Uh, uh (yeah)
Yeah (uh)
C'mon (c'mon), uh (uh)

So what do you know
You and me (sort it out, turn it up, c'mon)
Finally face to face (ah ah ah ah)
Checkin' each other up and down (up and down baby)
In all the obvious places

All the places in the world we live
They can't hold a candle to the light you give
For real, for real
I have a outlook (uh) that's truly uncommon, and (say the word)
If you follow me
You're more than a honor, man
The reason why I'm placed on the earth's face (c'mon)
Is spitting rhymes, getting mine's
Watching your waist, hourglass (uh uh)
Then you give me hot flash (word)
This romance give heat of a sonic blast (America where you at? C'mon)

So this is where you end (uh uh uh uh)
And you and I begin
(This is where you and I, you and I begin)
(C'mon) because baby (c'mon)

The greatest romance (uh)
That's ever been sold (I ain't no thug tonight)
(I'ma stay home and make love tonight, c'mon)
The greatest romance (uh)
That's ever been sold (I ain't trying to bang)
(Maybe this song' will help me change, c'mon)

Now your mind is open (now your mind is open)
To poetry seldom heard
(Seldom heard)
Your heart has never been broken (never broken baby)
Until you've heard these words (these words, these words, yeah, c'mon)

Givin' off the air like your thang don't smell
You better answer all of that love (uh)
Inside your heart, right now
Shorty, look, in the scheme of it all
We could really make it work (yeah)
When our back's on the wall
For real, for real (I' can't hear you)
Give a week and let your mans know
I'll come running (yeah)
He's heartless (he's heartless), hold my hand
Yo, he's just fronting (uh)
It's time now
Let's dance eternally
They looking at us laughing
But our love is what's concerning me (yeah)

So this is where you end (uh uh uh uh) (this is where you end)
And you and I begin (you-ou-ou-ou) (c'mon, uh uh uh yeah)
Yo (it's the greatest baby, c'mon)

The greatest romance (ay baby don't worry)
That's ever been sold (I ain't no thug tonight)
(I'ma stay home and make love tonight, baby)
The greatest (uh) romance (don't worry baby, don't worry)
That's ever been sold (I ain't trying to bang)
(Maybe this song' will help me change, c'mon)

(I ain't no thug tonight)
(I'ma stay home and make love tonight, baby)
(I ain't trying to bang)
(Maybe this song will help me change, c'mon), lemme holla at you, babe (holla, holla)

I know you can feel me (I know I know)
I know you can dance (uh)
But what do U know about the (uh)
Greatest romance? (Greatest romance baby)
Not what you think (not what you think)
But what you believe (you believe)
Can you tell me the real reason that Adam never left Eve?
(I ain't no thug tonight)
I ain't gonna leave you baby (I'ma stay home and make love tonight, baby), no no
(I ain't trying to bang) I
(Maybe this song will help me change, c'mon) ain't never gonna leave you no
(I ain't no thug tonight)
(I'ma stay home and make love tonight) Can I tell you what ya'-
Can I tell you what ya' did for me babe? (I ain't trying to bang)
(maybe this song will help me change)

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
