I asked it where it had been
Then we started arguing
I'm just like the other ones
But I don't believe you think I'm dumb
And where did all the money go?
Did jesus come and no one know?

Sugar, spice and insulin
Hold me 'til you're back again
'Cause it feels like I'm losing you
When it feels like I'm losing you

We can try to laugh it off, I guess
Claiming blissful listlessness
But I miss, how it used to be
She only looks like you
When it's using me

Her silver spoon oblivion
Paints her blue and back again
While I hear...
I love you
I need you
I'm still here

Then I fear that I'm losing you
When it feels like I'm losing you
When it feels like I'm losing you
Then it feels like I'm losing you So do you do what you do for the love of it ?
Or do you do what you do with the thought of this?
Tell me my love, am I enough...

So I was still trying and fighting
And pushing in vein
And all that I did just to stop it
Would add to it's strength
Because a juggernaut will not stop even with you in the way

When it's given the choice of its life or to lose
I'm not so sure just which one you will choose

But I'm losing you
It feels like I'm losing you
When it feels like I'm losing you
then I fear that I'm losing you

So do you do what you do for the love of it
Or do you do what you do with the thought of this
Tell me my loves
Was I enough?

I cant believe nobody has commented this yet. Hurt is simply one of the greatest bands out there today, along side with tool. This is probably one of my favorite tracks on the album. Everything I've ever felt the need to tell my girlfriend, was established in this song.

I think this song is about being in a relationship with someone who does drugs and just dealing with them through their highs. It seems like he feels useless and that he isn't enough for her because she still has to use drugs and he feels like he's losing her to the drugs. I think the drug of choice is heroin because of the silver spoon and blue skin references but it could be anything. I love the way his voice goes from haunting depiction to desperate screams. Very eery and emotional song, love it. See Hurt live they are amazingly talented musicians.

I agree with pebbles that it's about a relationship and I believe also she's doing heroin. "She only looks like you when it's using me" to me means she's not the same when she's fucked up and "it" refers to her body but it's not her. He also throws in the insulin (used by needle), silver spoon, and blue skin references, uses the word "vein" conveniantly, and I believe the "juggernaut" is heroin as well.

All that aside, I love listening to him singing "and I fear that I'm losing you", cuz it's just powerful the way he says it, and you can lose people in so many ways. That one line gives me an emotional "rush".

it's about the woman he loves being addicted to heroin and him not being enough reason for her to quit. he is amazing when it comes to his music. so passionate.

So I was still trying and fighting And pushing in vein

Vein is a powerful double entendre though if you take the meaning of the song to be about herion.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
