In every corner of my memory
There's no place you wouldn't be
If anything, I wish I had
Another dream with you
Life was forever yesterday
Nothing in the world could take
Your love away, will I ever know
That time will ease the pain
For me someday

She said I won't leave you, ever
Just love me forever
She said you can leave, but never
Walk away

Lights reflecting in the evening sun
Back to the place where we were one
Soul mates forever about to chase
Rainbows in the dark
Another day to destiny
Come on and set me free
When I close my eyes, I see your smile
As I walk in the pouring rain
I call your name

She said I won't leave you, ever
Just love me forever
She said, we will be together, someday
She said I won't leave you, ever
Just love me forever
She said, you can leave, but never
Walk away

I can see a million faces
When I take a walk outside
But I just never knew
That I could go a million places
And I'd see always, only you

The loneliness crawls up on me
Without you there's no me
At any time or any place
But time will ease the pain
For me someday

She said I won't leave you, ever
Just love me forever
She said, we will be together, someday
She said, I will wait forever
I won't leave you ever
She said, you can leave, but never
Ever walk away

Don't walk away
Oh no don't walk away
I'll be waiting, always
Until you'll wake up from this dream
Someday

I only recently discovered this song, and my oh my, does it ever rock. It's become one of my favorite Scorpions songs and stands up next to any of their old stuff.

At first, I wasn't sure if this song was describing a lost love or a current love. But, I'm pretty sure it's the former. Here's why:

"As I walk in the pouring rain, I call your name" suggests he is longing for her.

"I could go a million places and I'd see always, only you" suggests that he can't get her out of his mind.

"Time will ease the pain for me someday" reveals his heartache.

And the last verse actually defies his thoughts on time mending his heart when says he'll be waiting for her.

I don't quite understand what he means by her waking up from her dream. Or how he's talking about how she told him he can leave, but not to walk away.

Hmm ... now that I think about it, could he be singing about a girl who is sick and/or dying? Everything I quoted above lends credence to this theory. And perhaps the last verse then means he'll be waiting for her to "wake up" from her death bed, feeling that perhaps she will be OK, or that he'll always hold out hope.

    What do you guys think?

sorry in advance for my english.. I think its about a lost love and broken promises. he describes how he was devoted to her because she said she loves him, she promised they wiil be together forever and that she will never leave him. she convinced him he could love her and he wont get heart. he believed her, but for some reason that didn't last. im not sure if something happend to her or if she left. maybe the last paragraph "Don't walk away Oh no don't walk away I'll be waiting, always Until you'll wake up from this dream Someday indicates that he is waiting for her to change her mind...

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
