I Hate You Lyrics
(But call me!)
Well you know my hate's everlasting baby, yeah, yeah!
(But call me!)
Do you, do you, do you know why I hate you baby, do you now?
(But call me!)
Well, it's because you make me hate you baby, yeah you do now.
(But call me!)
(But call me!)
Oh, you know my hate's everlasting baby yeah, yeah, yeah.
(But call me!)
Oh you know you know what I hate you baby, huh? Do you?
(But call me!)
Oh it's because you make me hate you baby yeah yeah yeah
(But call me!)
Well, alright.

I'm like to think, judging by the lyrics (along with the backing lyrics, in brackets) that this song's reflecting on the way in which certain women will only respond to a man's interest in them if it's shown through neglect and disregard (the classic 'bad boy' archetype), while at the same time this frustrates the man in question to the point where they hate the girl for being left with no choice but to treat them in such a way (which may not be how they want to treat them) as nothing else seems to spark their attraction. At the same time, the man in question is still infatuated with the girl for this reason. I guess you could sum it up as tainted, dumbstruck love.
I mean, I like to think... not I'm. My mistake. Lol.

My first Monk tune. I hated it at first. I couldn't stand the vocals. But then, over time, it hit me...it was Monk Time. Our Gary here REALLY hates his girl. But call him!
