"Spirit Of The Water" as written by and Peter Barden....
See the lights out on the water
Come and go, to and fro
In the time it takes to find them
You can live, you can die
And nothing stops the river as it goes by
Nothing stops the river as it goes

All alone and all together
Every day, come what may
By the time we find each other
We can live, we can die
And nothing stops the river as it flows by
Nothing stops the river as it goes

General CommentI, you, and us we cannot be here forever. We glow just as we glow. There are other lights in this flow who share desire for sharing glove. One was set alight to see you lighten, see you dim. Be aware you can't find more, worship aye each other's glow. Then you can cease to flow...

My InterpretationWe are all like boats going to and fro on a river at night. We can live seeing the lights of other boats (people) all around us or we can die looking for them. The only certainty is that we will all be swept along by the river (time).

One of the most beautiful songs I know, both musically and lyrically. I've been listening to it all my life and it never grows old.
