What does that wispy little brat have
That you don't have double?
She can't hold a candle
To the beauty of your smile
How about a pulse?
Overrated by a mile
Overvalued, overblown
If he only knew
The you that we do
And that silly little creature
Isn't wearing his ring
And she doesn't play piano
Or dance, or sing
No she doesn't compare
But she still breaths air
Who cares?
Unimportant, overrated
Overblown, if only he could see
How special you can be
If he only knew the you that we do
If I touch a burning candle
I can feel no pain
If you cut me with a knife
It's still the same
And I know her heart is beating
And I know that I am dead
Yet the pain here that I feel
Try and tell me it's not real
And it seems I still have a tear to shed
The sole redeeming feature
From that little creature
Is that she's alive, overrated
Overblown, everybody knows
That's just a temporary state
Which is cured very quickly
When we meet our fate
Who cares?
Unimportant, overrated
Overblown, if only he could see
How special you can be
If he only knew the you that we do
If I touch a burning candle
I can feel no pain
In the ice or in the sun
It's all the same
Yet I feel my heart is aching
Thou it doesn't beat, it's breaking
And the pain here that I feel
Try and tell me it's not real
I know that I am dead
Yet it seems I still have
Some tears to shed
That you don't have double?
She can't hold a candle
To the beauty of your smile
How about a pulse?
Overrated by a mile
Overvalued, overblown
If he only knew

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere.
In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example:
"'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
Midnight

Ed Sheeran
“Midnight” is a song about finding a love that is so true that it provides a calming feeling through every storm. Ed Sheeran reflects on his good fortunes in landing someone with such peace and support and speaks of not fearing the dark days because he knows they’ll all end in the safety nets of her arms.
“Well, good morning there / What a way to start the day / With everything laid bare,” Ed Sheeran sings in the first verse, enthusiastic to be waking up beside his woman. He apologizes for missing her calls in the second verse and promises to return them because for him, speaking to her is the most important thing. “Well, I get lost inside my head / In this chaos, you’re my calm / And I will find my feet again / ‘Cause еven the worst days of my life will always еnd / At midnight in your arms,” sings Ed Sheeran in the chorus, revelling in his good luck.
I woke up with this song playing in my head and I haven't seen this movie in years. Emily goes through the self doubt, the comparison that we go through as women daily, the issues we have with how we seem... maybe also just wanting for that one special person to see you in your beauty. What that person may not see, other will see and think to themselves "How can they miss how beautiful of a person you are? How lovely you are? Caring? Funny?". So they say, "If he only knew, the you, that we knew." is so beautiful. Even if you don't feel like people notice your beauty, someone will and they see you in such awe. I'm a Christian now, but this movie used to be one of my favorites. It has such a deep thought provoking message. (In reality, the spider and the worm weren't trying to put down the other girl (even though it seems like it) it was a false sense of flattery in a way.) I do believe when we die we go to heaven.. and in the end Emily seemed to "meet her fate" where she looked up and turned into a bunch of butterflies. Leaving to finally be at Peace. - Ruby
When I entered this I kept the maggot and spider together so only Emily has her own parts....I love this song though. Mostly Emily's parts though
this is my fave song in the movie (corpse bride) its sooo deep and pretty i lik emily way better than victoria..i feel sorry 4 emily though :( she's so sad but its over a guy that she doesnt even know..actually thats pretty but still unreal but i luv this song anyways...THANX 4 PUTTIN THIS HERE!!!
hee, hee. i soooo agree with .::.tralalalala.::.!! it such an awesome song. i like how in a kids movie they have a song this deep.
HOLI CRUD ITS BELLA I LUV U BELLA YAY!!!!
This is a beautiful song. And you won't hear me say that very often. I felt sorta' ripped off when I went to see it....well, maybe not. The ticket was three bucks. But I didn't agree with the ending. Victor should've died and been with Emily, but I don't blame Emily for making the choice. It was all for the right reasons.
I disagree... Victoria was inlove with Victor first. Even though it was a plained merrage they fell inlove all the same. And were meant to be together. Emily was right at the end... She was inlove and her dreams were taken... We all kno in life that not all of us get our happy ending... But Emily proved her love at the end especially because she wanted to see Victor and Victoria together and happy... But bak to the song... This was my favorite song from the movie. Even though she was dead, her heart still hurt... I do wish that Emily could have been with someone at the end, she deserved someone to love her. But sometimes we have to be the bridesmaid, and never the bride....
She was in love, but it might not have been the right love. It was probably a masked love because Emily was a little desperate for the right person. Victor also had a not-so-right love for Emily. That was because he felt that he should be with Emily even though he does not truely love her. I still think that Victoria should've gone with big chin to teacher her parents a lesson about marrying her off just to get out of debt.
the movie rocks! i've watched it a thousand times and it's fantastic!!!emily is desperate and she feels pain cause she realised that Victor loves Victoria (the alive bride) and not her. so she makes a compare between life and death. "if i touch a burning candle i can feel no pain" the dead people can't feel body pain. but they still have a heart, that can break any moment. i loved emily, she's so sympathetic. emily loved victor but victor didn't...i like it when the spider and the worm say "everybody knows it's a temporary state" that's right. we will not be alive 4 ever, and we have overvalued life. we have to live every day and to face death as a new adventure! so c' mon!
even though she's dead, she's so sad she somehow has tears left to shed. how much more depressing can a song be? heh.
Edited by delial on May 28 2008, at 06:57AM
