Even God can't change the past
No matter how many tears I've cried
Yes, I thought this love would last
Who am I to question why?
Who an I?

Darling when I'm hurt
That's when I'm satisfied
Tell me what it's worth
To pursue the Holy life
I can see your face
Even when I close my eyes
I can give you love
Even when I've been denied

Who's loving who?
Who's fooling who?

Even God can't change the past
No matter how many tears I've cried
Yes, I thought this love would last
Who am I to question why?
Who am I?

Darling what is love
If it never gets you high?
Should we sit and wait
While the wasted years roll by?
Is there time to say
If I lied, I apologize?
Never go away
Please stay here by my side

Who's fooling who?
Who's loving who?

Even God can't change the past
No matter how many tears I've cried
Yes, I thought this love would last
Who am I to question why?
Who an I?

They try to break you
They try to steal your stars
If they ever take you
Just remember who you are
They try to hate you
Just like some love bizarre
It's a sign of weakness
To be afraid of what you are

Who's loving who?
Who's fooling who?

Even God can't change the past
No matter how many tears I've cried
Yes, I thought this love would last
Who am I to question why?

Eh? I see no links to homosexuality in here, sounds to me like a plain old break-up song by Charlie (Although the harmony's pretty nice)

Really what about, "Who's loving who? Who's fooling who?" or "Darling what is love If it never gets you high?"

Even when you post 'examples', I fail to see any connections to homosexuality. To each his own, I suppose. Anyways, in my opinion, it's just another song about breaking up with someone because of something that happened in the past-one partner lying to the other or something maybe?

@[Kahiara:35260] Actually I think the husband passed away, "She sang for you last night She heard you were calling" Many people say they have felt, heard, or seen their loved ones after they have passed. "Don't be scared now Close your eyes She holds guard tonight Go on forward no remorse Life will take it's course" This is said to the late husband by a third part (never named), who encourages him to pass on. Because life will eventually continue. The phrase "holds guard" refers to the ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wake_(ceremony) ) which is a Christian ceremony held after someone dies. Now it is usually held right after the funeral, but in most celtiic countries the wake is held before the funeral. "She danced with you last night so you will remember All you have shared, a lifetime." This sentence feels as if the only thing it wants to convey is their history together, namely, husband and wife. For the rest it just refers back to the first verse.

Moyet later described how her song "Goodbye 70's" had been inspired by her disillusionment with how the late-1970s punk scene had turned out, saying, "'Goodbye 70's' is about punk and not caring how you were dressed, and then I discovered that so many of my friends that I'd thought it all really meant something to just saw it as another trend... That's what 'Goodbye 70's' was all about, about how sour the whole thing became."
