All your twisted thoughts free flow
To everlasting memories
Show soul
Kiss the stars with me
And dread the wait for
Stupid calls returning to us to life
We say to those who are in love
It can't be true 'cause we're too young
I know that's true because so long I was
So in love with you
So I thought

A year goes by
And I can't talk about it

On my knees
Dim lighted room
Thoughts free flow try to consume myself in this
I'm not faithless
Just paranoid of getting lost or that I might lose
Ignorance is bliss cherish it
Pretty neighborhoods you learn to much to hold
Believe it not
And fight the tears
With pretty smiles and lies about the times

A year goes by
And I can't talk about it
The times weren't right
And I couldn't talk about it

Romance says goodnight
Close your eyes and I'll close mine
Remember you, remember me
Hurt the first, the last between
Slowly romance says good night
Close your eyes and I'll close mine
Remember you, remember me
Hurt the first, the last, between

And I'm praying that we will see
Something there in between
Then and there that exceeds all we can dream
So we can talk about it

Hurt the first, the last healing

And I'm praying that we will see
Something there in between
Then and there that exceeds all we can dream

And all these twisted thoughts I see
Jesus there in between
And all these twisted thoughts I see
Jesus there in between

    My Interpretation

I think its about breaking up but still actually being in love. I think the relationship is over, but she still has feelings for him and cares.

"All your twisted thoughts free flow To everlasting memories Show soul Kiss the stars with me And dread the wait for Stupid calls returning to us to life" -This is during the relationship. When your young and you first have that thrilled uncertainty. You think of all these things like, do they really love me, do I really love them and you are always so anxious to talk to them again. Hence the 'dread the wait for, stupid calls returning us to life' the worst part of the calls is waiting, and we are returned to life once the call comes in, were relieved.

"We say to those who are in love It can't be true 'cause we're too young I know that's true because so long I was So in love with you So I thought" -And this is where it gets sad. She is still in love with him, she was 'so in love' meaning she thought she couldn't live without him. As adults you know that simply isn't true. Which is why you say your 'too young' to really know what you're thinking. But you know to some degree. She is doubting herself in both the do I/did I love him? when she says 'so I thought'

"A year goes by And I can't talk about it" -this is a year after the breakup, and its hard for her to talk or think about it because she is still hurting over him, and still in love.

"On my knees Dim lighted room Thoughts free flow try to consume myself in this I'm not faithless Just paranoid of getting lost or that I might lose" -She is still hurting and scarred that she let go of her one love, she wants to believe that everything will be ok but its hard, and she is worried.

"Ignorance is bliss cherish it Pretty neighborhoods you learn to much to hold Believe it not And fight the tears With pretty smiles and lies about the times" -And this is like, if you dont know or never experienced what she is feeling good, and hold on to that ignorance. If you have, never give in to the bad thoughts, and as much as it may hurt 'fight the tears(pain) with pretty smiles and lies about the times(out on a brave face and pretend it alright even if it isn't.)'

"A year goes by And I can't talk about it The times weren't right And I couldn't talk about it" -This part gets me every time I hear it. Especially 'the times weren't right' this is the same as before except now she is admitting that they were too young and things couldn't have worked. they had too much growing up to do, symbolized by 'and i couldn't talk about it'

"Chorus Romance says goodnight Close your eyes and I'll close mine Remember you, remember me Hurt the first, the last between Chorus Romance says goodnight Close your eyes and I'll close mine Remember you, remember me Hurt the first, the last, between" -Its typical when you are that age to hear about romances and fairy tales, but there chorus romance says goodnight and they leave each other 'close your eyes and I'll close mine". She just want to remember them when they were good, but also what went wrong so that they don't repeat it.

"And I'm praying that we will see Something there in between Then and there that exceeds all we can dream So we can talk about it" -She is hoping that one day when they are grown up maybe they can both be truly happy, they can both 'talk about it'.

That's the feeling i get from the song when I listen to it. But I think that's what is wonderful about music is your ability to interpret its meaning for yourself.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
