Like I said
Leave your baggage at the back door
I'm leaving you the way I think it should be
We're always pulling into spaces that we can't back out of
Starting fights we can't talk our way out of them

How does it feel to be on the recieving end of this one?

(Chorus)
This now will flow with us this now work with us
this is our last surviving chance i wanna survive (2 Times)

(Work with us) Feast your eyes, (Work with us) I don't care

I'll fantasize of being manic
And leaving us behind
In your eyes you were the one that tried

Acceptance is what holds us here
And you my dear are the one I fear tonight
We'll try just one more time

This is the moment that we all live for
Are you ready? Are you ready?

(Chorus 4 times)

(Work with us) Feast your eyes , I don't care, I don't care (Work with us) I don't care,
and I`ll never care

I can't see past your waving hand
just running away again
I can't see past your waving hand
just running away again

I wanna know how to get through this, how to get
through this with out choking up (2 times)

I can't feel your, your to far from me

I dont agree, the choir is much better in the new version. But the bass during the intro is cool.

To me, this song is about being in a sexual relationship with a girl you love, and knowing it's immoral and wrong, and wanting to get out.

"I'll fantasize of being manic, and leaving us behind"

A big part of him wants out of the relationship, but he knows it'll break her heart.

"I can't feel you, your to far from me"

I've felt this exact way. Like you're living in sin and you just can't feel God with the clarity you do when you're living cleanly. It's the worst feeling in the world. You want to be living for Jesus again but you just don't know how to get out of the situation "without choking up".

    it's a christian rock band

when you think they're talking about relationships with others... they're actually talking about their relationship to god

I think it's about a failing relationship that's ruining both their lives, they both have a lot of problems on their own, and neither really want to let go.

"Leave your baggage at the back door" Leave your problems out of my life.

"I'm leaving you the way I think it should be" I'm trying to do what's best for us

"We're always pulling into spaces that we can't back out of" We're keep getting ourselves into problems we can't undo

"In your eyes you were the one that tried" I know you think that you were doing what you could to fix it

"We'll try just one more time" we"ll give us just one more shot

"I wanna know how to get through this, how to get through this with out choking up" He really doesn't want to let her go even though them staying together would be really unhealthy

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
