Hang On To Your Life Lyrics
All soft and black it's time to grow
Don't be afraid to touch the light
don't run from love in the starless night
Hang on paradise here we come now
Life is like the wind, where does it begin?
Bring me your sunlight, it's the way now
Just spread your wings and taste the sky
It's time to laugh, it's time to fly
The mountain air is clear and bright
Your shadow world is endless night
Hang on paradise here we come now
Hang on paradise here we come now
Life is like the wind, where's it gonna end?

not a bad song. lyrics are good. vocals suck. but this is the band after morrison died in 1971. so obviously due to the lack of popularity with the album "other voices" the band was shit without morrison. the true american poet and only vocalist and frontman of the greatest american band ever, the doors.
Granted this song would sound 1,000,000 times better with Morrison's vocals. You can't discredit Krieger's song writing abilities however, having written many of the songs morrison sung when he was fronting the band. True Morrison was the heart and soul of The Doors but with out the musical back bone of Krieger, Manzarek and Densmore he would have gotten nowhere. All i'm saying is without them we probably wouldn't even know who Jim Morrison was. True he was writing poetry and the like but i don't think he ever would have gotten of the ground without a band behind him...

Don't get me wrong Morrison is one of the greatest and I love The Doors but don't discredit the musicians let us remember that Morrison never played and instrument. Either way i applaud the others for soldiering on after Morrison's death even if it was very short lived (two albums: Other Voices and Full Circle).
