"Wholly Yours" as written by and David Crowder....
I am full of earth
You are heaven's worth
I am stained with dirt, prone to depravity
You are everything that is bright and clean
The antonym of me
You are divinity
But a certain sign of grace is this
From the broken earth flowers come up
Pushing through the dirt

You are holy, holy, holy
All heaven cries "holy, holy God
You are holy, holy, holy
I want to be holy like You are

You are everything that is bright and clean
And You're covering me with Your majesty
And the truest sign of grace was this
From wounded hands redemption fell down
Liberating man
But the harder I try the more clearly can I feel
The depth of our fall and the weight of it all
And so this might could be the most impossible thing
Your grandness in me making me clean

Glory, hallelujah
Glory, glory, hallelujah
So here I am, all of me
Finally everything
Wholly, wholly, wholly
I am wholly, wholly
I am wholly, wholly, wholly
Yours

I am full of earth and dirt and You

General CommentThis is one of my favorite songs of all time. It's about how even though we're just some earth and dirt, God loves us more than anything. The certain sign of grace truly is that God makes our dirt beautiful. :)

General CommentLiterally made from dirt, after the fall dirty in sin, while God is holy. Humans are prone to depravity, turning away from God and worshiping idols. While we deserve death, he shows grace exemplified at least that flowers grow, and the sun rises another day on the earth. At most it is the very holy God giving his Son for death so we become counted as righteous. He goes over those two concepts in verse 2 and 3. He wraps up at the end saying he is wholly God's now, being bought with a price.

MemoryWhen I first started going to a new youth group at a nearby church the worship team sang this song. It was one of the greatest experiences, and when singing the lyrics and actually listening to them and meaning them this song helped me realize that I'm a sinner and that I need to try to be more like Jesus. And that no matter how much I had ever rebelled againt The Lord, he is gracious and kind and loves you always.

    "You are holy, holy, holy
I want to be holy, holy God"

    "I am stained with dirt
    Prone to depravity
    And You are everything
    That is bright and clean
    The antonym of me"

"So here I am, all of me
    Finally everything.
    ...
    I am wholly Yours."

    This song is great!
