Too late I'm dead
reposition,plenty.
extraction,demanding.
the best psychiatrist,psychic soothsayers(soothsayers)

analysing my instincts
you got i all figured out
too late 'im dead, too late i'm dead
you should have said i would have hung around a little longer
too late i'm dead, you should have said,i would have hung around a little longer,

too late i'm dead

fuck everything,everything,everything
how could you love someone with what they've done, now
done everything,everything,everything
how could you love someone with what they've done, now
fuck everything,everything,everything
how could you love someone with what they've done, now. known everything, everything, everything
how could you love someone with what they've done, now

too late i'm dead
I made my bed
You should,too belong
Right beside me
The beast is mad
The patient's hanging out
The trees have all burnt to the ground

In this vicinity
It's a strange retribution
To be lying here so close to what I despise

Fuck everything, Everything,Everything
how could you love someone with what they've done, now
done everything,everything,everything
how could you love someone with what they've done, now
fuck everything,everything,everything
how could you love someone with what they've done, now
known everything,everything,everything
how could you love someone with what they've done, now

too late i'm dead
too late i'm dead

too late i'm dead
too late i'm dead

too late i'm dead
too late i'm dead

too late i'm dead
too late i'm dead
too late i'm dead
too late i'm dead
too late i'm dead
too late i'm dead
too late i'm dead
too late i'm dead
too late i'm dead
too late i'm dead
too late i'm dead

too late

I really disliked this song the first time I heard it, but it's grown on me. It's certainly different than anything they've every done.

I never could get into this song mainly because of the chorus. Jon's ranting sounds like an angry 10 yr. old mad becase his parents grounded him. But to each his own. Isn't this on the Twisted Transistor single?

    • Anywho, if I had anything to back up the meaning of this song, I'd use it. But, I'll quickly evaluate what's been read.

    • The original set of lyrics mainly sounds like regret, jealousy, and betrayal caused by a certain someone to a certain someone and the pain continues to haunt them but they bottle it up inside and not talk to anyone about it.

    • The revised set by Bananaphone05 sounds like it revolves around the same subject matter but seems as though suicide is a main factor and the certain someone is contemplating and quite on the brink of ending their life.

That's pretty much all I compute. There are so many better KoRn songs out there, though.

I like this one, kinda reminds me of Skinny Puppy. The lyrics are kinda boring and repetitive, though. And I really like his voice in the verses,

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.
