Alive and Kicking

Holy shit NONPOINT is fucking amazing - this is one of the best songs (my personal fav) off the new CD 'To the Pain'. On a whole the CD blows me away I listen to all kinds of music and all genres and this CD never leaves my system OMG get it. Other great tracks are Bullet with a name on it ~ The Wreckoning ~ Buscandome they are all great.

This song could have alot of meanings but it looks to me like two people arguing over politics, NONPOINT is the new/better rage against the machine.

i'm only gunna breakdown parts of the song cuz the whole thing would take too long to read

in the starting paragraph he is trying to figure out what went wrong"I'm gettin' over and pushing past all the bullshit and getting right to the root of what the problem really is The reasons for the misunderstandings"

hes destroying old boundaries to live by his own book...he is tried to sever his emotional ties with this person so they become only a memory...the problem has only made him stronger as usuall...his not crushed by emotional depression so he's still alive and kicking...he can now see what he's doing and wont make the same mistake twice...

this song is awesome. its different from the music i listen to but it awesome

i think this song is about record labels...or their old record label cause i think they were dropped or something...or they left...either way i think its about their label situation

I listen to this song and think about my ex...as im pushing myself at the gym and listening to this im thinking to myself "look at what Ive done and how far I have come. I no longer sit at home wallowing in depression/grief/regret. Im getting my shit together while you sit on your ass and rot. Im tearing it up and focusing on what I want. So F*** you and have a nice day. :)

As for the songs meaning vocalist Elias Soriano (of Dominican & Puerto Rican descent) speaks here of a society wrought with a lack of acceptance of others, no matter their class, race or creed. How as a whole he has just decided he's just over it and gonna push through the nonsense, and by doing so has never felt more awake.

Is this a voice of a black man with dreadlocks? He sounds great!

This song is amazing. Best one off of the new album in my opinion!
