This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.
and this I know
his teeth as white as snow
what a gas it was to see him
walk her every day
into a shady place
with her lips she said
she said
hey paul, hey paul, hey paul, let's have a ball [3x]
gigantic, gigantic, gigantic
a big big love
gigantic, gigantic, gigantic
a big big love
lovely legs there are
what a big black mask
what a hunk of love
walk her every day into a shady place
he's like the dark, but I'd want him
hey paul, hey paul, hey paul, let's have a ball [3x]
gigantic, gigantic, gigantic
a big big love
gigantic, gigantic, gigantic
a big big love
gigantic, gigantic, gigantic
a big big love
gigantic, gigantic, gigantic
a big big love
his teeth as white as snow
what a gas it was to see him
walk her every day
into a shady place
with her lips she said
she said
hey paul, hey paul, hey paul, let's have a ball [3x]
gigantic, gigantic, gigantic

a big big love

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve.
The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future.
Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere"
The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

..this song is by the pixies? and i have never heard of xiu xiu covering it.
they did it on a split EP with Devendra Banhart i think
no, the 2 songs on the devendra EP are devendra covering "support our troops" and xiu xiu covering "body breaks". i own every EP and am still trying to find why someone would post this here.
cuz its a xiu xiu song i have the song
and iif you have all the EP's maybe you skipped a song, but dont worry about it cause now its here for you to see
well youre half right, and im wrong. after some research, i found that a friend of jamie's from san francisco had a mini-band type thing going who covered this song before xiu xiu even existed. jamie sang the vocals for this particular cover. however, not xiu xiu per say because they didnt exist yet. :)
this is originally a pixies song and kim deal sings it. one of my favorite songs by pixies. i've never heard of xiu xiu covering it though. i wonder where i could listen to this cover. I never would have thought xiu xiu and devendra...pretty sweet actually.
i never heard this? sithie, which band is it? ibopa? 10 in the swear jar? something else?
i'd love to hear it, its a great pixies one, most covers i've heard are decent too.
I heard a copy that was supposedly Xiu Xiu's version and it didn't really sound like Jamie Stewart. It might be the version sithie is talking about but to me it seemed like a mislabeled track because the only real resemblance to Xiu Xiu it held was really lo-fi production. It had a really quiet acoustic guitar and a small clicking sound. It seems like a pretty honest mistake.
