And it's a poor boy who's alive at best
And mistakes the pulse inside his chest
For the cartiledge between his legs
And it's all he knows
It's all he knows

And it's a sad girl who sits and cries
Mistakes true love for brutal lies
And a warm wet tongue in between her thighs
It's all she knows
All she knows

And he wonders what she hides in those bags under her eyes
The secrets of the sleepless nights she spent with him
Since she let him in

And the hands of those where burns are in
Both commit the greatest sins
By breaking hearts instead of skin
It's all they know
All they know

And she wipes her tears back as she sings
How broken hands make broken things
She sings
Yeah, she sings

And she wipes her tears back as she sings
How broken hands make broken things
She sings
Yeah, she sings

And he wonders what she hides in those bags under her eyes
The secrets of the sleepless nights she spent with him
Since she let him in

The violin in this is so good. To me I think it's about people being open with each other, after finding it really hard before:

"And he wonders what she hides in those bags under her eyes. The secrets of the sleepless nights she spent with him. Since she let him in" Just about the start of a relationship.

this song is a story about a boy and girl who chose a sexual relationship over a romantic one...

They choose that sexual relationship over a spiritual and romantic one because that's the society they were brought up in. "It's all he/she knows," meaning they didn't see anythign wrong with it, but later in the song she repents: "And she wipes her tears back as she sings How broken hands make broken things She sings Yeah, she sings" A beautiful song, even better live.

I feel like this song is about a girl being constantly raped, or molested by the same guy.

"And it's a poor boy who's alive at best And mistakes the pulse inside his chest For the cartiledge between his legs And it's all he knows It's all he knows"

I feel like this stanza is like that saying, "he thinks with his penis". Alive at best, he wants to just have sex all the time, because it's all he thinks he is supposed to do with this girl.

"And it's a sad girl who sits and cries Mistakes true love for brutal lies And a warm wet tongue in between her thighs It's all she knows All she knows"

She only knows this guy for sex, and she won't stand up for herself and say enough is enough. All she knows is the lies that he feeds her and it's all she ever hears. He constantly wants to have sex with her and she probably wants more.

"And he wonders what she hides in those bags under her eyes The secrets of the sleepless nights she spent with him Since she let him in"

He thinks about the sleepless nights he's made her have, where he was inside of her, probably not by choice. Ever since the first time they had sex. He wants to know what she is thinking when she looks in the mirror when she sees the bags under her eyes.

"And the hands of those where burns are in Both commit the greatest sins By breaking hearts instead of skin It's all they know All they know"

Breaking skin, like losing her virginity I believe. They only have sex and it just isn't right, the guy is commiting a sin, burning as in hell?

"And she wipes her tears back as she sings How broken hands make broken things She sings Yeah, she sings"

She's finally telling him to stop. She's crying saying she wants this to end and she's completely done. She doesn't want to live this Broken 'Lie' and doesn't want this to continue. I think Broken Hands probably might symbolize the broken feelings she has towards the guy. She was probably close to him until he hurt her the way she did.

I don't think he knows any better when it comes to sex because this is the way that he was taught to be with a girl.

Like in this stanza he thinks that love is sex. Instead of thinking with his head at all, he mistakes what he thinks is love as being horny. He lets his hormones control him and i think that this is his way of showing that he cares for this girl.

"And it's a poor boy who's alive at best And mistakes the pulse inside his chest For the cartiledge between his legs

And it's all he knows It's all he knows"

Even though he may mean the best, the girl needs more. She feels used because she wants more. I'm sure she has been in many other sexual relationships with boys that have told her that they love her only to leave her later on.

"And it's a sad girl who sits and cries Mistakes true love for brutal lies And a warm wet tongue in between her thighs It's all she knows All she knows"

He doesn't completely use her though because why else would he care about why she seems to be depressed if he cares nothing for her? He wants to know why his actions seem to make her this way, he doesn't know what else to do though because this is after all, "all he knows"

"And he wonders what she hides in those bags under her eyes The secrets of the sleepless nights she spent with him Since she let him in"

She cries out that broken hands make broken things, even if what you know is all that you know doesn't mean that it makes you feel any better. So broken or false reasoning ends up with false conclusions. He may think that this is no big deal to be having sex but she knows better and it's tearing her up inside. She has been in these relationships before and realizes that more there has to more to a loving relationship than this, but still, she is afraid to leave him and it depresses her

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
