This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.
Are you still into it? 'cause I'm still into it.
We haven't had sore bits for about a fortnight.
Am I your only one? 'Cause you're still my only one.
But if you need more, I'll just do it in some, right.
We should go into town and spend some money.
We could go to the pictures and see something funny.
We'd share a popcorn and we can go to the pub at night.
We can get right tanked up and go home and have a fight.
Will you still miss me, when I'm gone?
Is there love there, even when I'm wrong?
Will you still kiss me, if you find out?
I will now leave you but don't follow me.
We could go into town and spend some money.
We could go to the pictures, go and see something funny.
Share a popcorn and when it's finished we could go to the pub at night.
And get right pissed and go home and have a fight.
Will you miss me, when I'm gone?
Is there love there, even when I'm wrong?
Will you still kiss me, if you find out?
I will leave you and I will miss you.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve.
The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future.
Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere"
The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

...and love, love will tear us apart again.
Brilliant!
isnt this with the guy from arab strap?
I get that "R U Still In 2 It" refers to an uncertain romantic relationship, but I have a sneaking feeling that there is a second, sly meaning directed to the listener. "With Portfolio" ends with some of the harshest, most disorienting noise and Mogwai simply wants to know if you made it through with your perceptions intact.
i love this song, so damned mysterious!!!
i think its about a man who has a secret and knows he has to leave his girlfriend
this song makes me cry
sort of reminds me of a guy who has a "friends with benefits" relation with a girl and maybe he is falling in love with her. or she wants him to fall in love but he cant.
its the first 4 lines that really give it away, he is wondering if she is seeing other guys on the side, and maybe he's starting to feel attached.
then the rest is him thinking about having a "boyfriend/girlfriend" relationship with her.
amazing song, vocals are sung/spoken with such sorrow and meaning.
The verse is a guy asking his woman why they're not having sex, and asking whether it's because she's found another guy.
The first chorus is about them going for what he thinks is a romantic evening, but getting drunk at the end of the night and eventually fighting over his jealousy.
The second chorus is about him being so engrossed by his jealousy that it takes him over. He's asking her whether, if she found out he thinks she's cheating, whether she could forgive him. Then he leaves her, even though she has done nothing wrong and he's just made it all up in his mind. And he realises his mistake, in the last line of the song.
having feelings for someone that you know doesnt have them for you
I only have the instrumental version of it, and i think it doesn't need lyrics to make it good. It still is that good.
They start as friends with benefits. He falls in true love and wonders if she did so too. These painful doubts make this song so special. He feels that even though, he can offer her only so much. Not enough and he knows he can go no further. Love is absolute, he thinks, but he now doubts that it is, and that it exists for both sides. They had rules established. And he is fair by his soul, so he thinks that he has to obey his own word. He thinks he has no choice but to leave. And he will always love her in his own true way, even if she never did so too. This doubtful hope made him wonder, and made him sing this song the way he did. The deepest conflict. No solution.
