Desires in conquest to
Murder her maim her
Progress possession in blackmail entrails to
Pursuit your end for
Regret with shame no end to shade
Bait her in comfort complete
Then move to kill
Red ink
Spills from her veins
Your quill still draws her in
Red ink
Spills from her veins
In curses, in cursive

This is regret in it's purest
A simple plan here
Your on the trail of the
Hunted, haunted now
Smiling and nodding
She'll go without a fight (without a fight)
To your delight
She's unaware
Unaware
She's helpless in your sights

Encounters
Though brief
Murdering heaping
The coals, the heat
Surgery pending
You're
The king
Of cavity quenching by
Inching
The tips
Of fingers across the
Forbidden
Forbidden
Forbidden

I know
You ache
But she is alive
I know
You ache
But she's more than a story

Your entries made public
Your journals in crimson
Her veins filled with red ink
Your quill spills in crimson

It means the pain of sexual sin. I know this because andrew said it himself. But I have no idea what sexual sin and red ink and a quill have to do with it...

here's how i see it. red ink would signify passion/lust since passion is usually represented in red. the quill is probably the words that the man uses to entice the girl in this song (quills were used to write back in the day)

The song is about how guys bait girls with talk of love when all they really want is sex. "Bait her in comfort complete then move to kill"

The red ink is the girl's love, which is compared with blood in the song as the guy is bleeding her dry, drawing in all her love when he does not return it. The quill is the guy's lust, taking the love and turning it into "curses in cursive."

The last part of the song "I know you ache but she is alive" is a cry out for those guys to stop doing it.

I don't think that it means for guys to stop doing it. I think that it means, despite what has happened to her, she's strong enough to get through it.

i think skillet pretty much got it, but there's more to be explained. Yes, the man takes the red ink(love/blood) from here with his lust (quill). The end is really important. The title "cavity king" is revealed here. "The king Of cavity quenching by inching the tips of fingers across the Forbidden" The man is empty so he is "cavity quenching". Schwab understands the man aches but the girl is human and doesn't deserve this. THe man then brags to his friends about his conquest. THen it goes to say..."Your entries made public Your journals in crimson Her veins filled with red ink Your quill spills in crimson" THis means that the man now filled with her love(red ink), only contains "crimson" to write with. Crimson not being as pure. So the man has something much less pure. The overall moral is to chose love over lust as it is more pure.

    My Interpretation

Outstanding song. I agree with much of what has been said about the song so far, but one thing I haven't seen much said about is the actual title of the song: "Cavity King." I think the brilliance of this title comes from the multiple things it says with only two words:

    1) The man is on a quest to have sex with women for selfish pleasure and for "bragging rights" with his friends.... he wants to become "king" of the female "cavity." Many guys today falsely believe that sleeping with women is what makes one a man and this guy is one of those types.

    2) Doing this makes him completely empty and decayed person that passes his decay onto every woman he fools into sleeping with him.... a "cavity king."

I also really appreciate these acts being shown for exactly what they are: acts of violence. Sexual sin is probably the most harmful, devastating sin one can commit. It haunts the victims and can very likely destroy their (and their family's) lives. What the "Cavity King" is doing is rape. He's stealing love from women and exploiting their bodies for pleasure with no intention of giving them a lifelong commitment or anything in return other than pain. He's stabbing, maiming, murdering them.... and enjoying it while he does it.

Schwab closes the song perfectly noting that we all have sexual desires "I know you ache...," but calls all of us men out by stating that we absolutely cannot act like this because "she is alive... she's more than a story." This is definitely one of my favorite Project songs because of its great sound, lyrical depth, and very strong message.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
