I want to meet up with you and show you what I'm thinking
I'll take you anywhere that you want to go
I'm sitting here bored and lonely and you'll know
That anytime your free to show me how you feel
I'll take it anywhere that you want to go
Anywhere that you want to go

I'd make it right if you want it
I want it back more than you know
I crossed the line do you want it
I want you back

And I'm waiting for you to get that feeling once again
Reunited in the end
And I've been waiting for you
To capture my imagination
Cause I've been fooled by the illusions in my head
In my head

Now I realize I never had it so good
It took me anywhere I wanted to go
Now I'm sitting here dreaming of the days
When anytime I wanted I could show you how I feel
I can't go anywhere that I want to go
Anywhere that I want to go

I'd make it right if you want it
I want it back more than you know
I crossed the line do you want it
I want you back

And I'm waiting for you to get that feeling once again
Reunited in the end
And I've been waiting for you
To capture my imagination
Cause I've been fooled by the illusions in my head
In my head

I'll take it anywhere
I'll take it anywhere
I'll take it anywhere
I'll take you anywhere you want to go

I'd make it right if you want
I want it back more than you know
I crossed the line do you want it
I want you back

I'm waiting for you
To get that feeling once again
Reunited in the end
I've been waiting for you
To capture my imagination
Cause I've been fooled by the illusions in my head
And I've been fooled by the illusions in my head
And I've been fooled by the illusions in my head

This song in my opinion is talking about the longing one has for a previous lover. all the memories of their past and its driving him crazy realizing that he let the love slip away and wants another chance to prove to her that he can Make it RIght.........it goes along with the theory about how you dont realize how much you miss someone until their gone, and so after losing her once he will wait as long as it takes to have her back

I think this songs about love. He's talking to a trying to show her how much he wants to love her and show her the best things in life. Its a that hes known for a long time and shes lost trust in him, and he wants her to come back. He says "Ive been fooled by the illusions in my head" he means that he was the wrong person when he first made the mistake of making her angry. But the he says "You took me anywhere i wanted to go" he then talks like it never happened and hes left alone. So its almost as if he's looking at both sides of the coin, saying whats it gonna be like if i go back with her and whats it gonna be like if i dont. Relationships are tough, and this song makes total sense when talking about them.

The most meaningful song to me right now. Definitley what I call a soundtrack of life, one of those songs that describes exactly that you're feeling at a certain time. It's describes a person who never leaves your mind and the hope one holds on to no matter how over the relationship may be.

I agree with lacunacoil86 on the song meaning. The song is called "Waiting" because the singer is waiting to reunite with a past lover. The lyrics pretty much speak for themselves. He's saying that he'd do anything to get her back and that he needs her "I've been waiting for you to capture my imagination, 'cause I've been fooled by the illusions in my head". - She's the only one that can fix up his head, and quite possibly, the illusions in his head are of them being back together again.

And to what Kimber-Leigh said, I can totally relate to that, this song hit me like a punch in the face.

Such a good song!! the line that hit me was

"cause I've been fooled by the illusions in my head In my head "

illusions of them being together and the allusions seem so real that he acts on them and finds out that they are not real, and he is never able to do that. Its only a dream....

The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri

This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
