    I’ll blame it on the planes That takes you miles away I’ll blame it on the planes Those god damn planes I love that so much. He doesn't want this girl to leave him and he blames everything for taking the girl away from him. I think it would make more sense that he wrote it from the girl's POV though because with touring he is seperated from her.

    He messed up [cheated, etc] & realizes it was his fault but he needs to point the finger at other things for his inadequacies in the relationship. He won't admit that it really was completely his fault. He desperately wants her to give him another chance [last verse] Simply amazing song. "Call you twice a day and drive you to the airport just so I can watch you leave… even if you’re leaving me." God, I adore that line.
