I'm not worth your truth anymore.
I'm numb to the pain that made me sore.

Bring me hate watch me bleed again.
Lie to fate let her break what doesn't bend.

See me as everything I couldn't be.

I am fragile, but I'm strong enough.
I am wanted, enemy number one.
I am lying, cause I never fell.
If you need me, follow me to hell.

I have tried to feel the same as you,
But in the end, I can see, that you lied to.

Obsess me as everything you want to be.

I am fragile, but I'm strong enough.
I am wanted, enemy number one.
I am lying, cause I never fell.
If you need me, follow me to hell.

I came undone as you began to fly.
To be free I'll need my hands tied.

I am fragile, but I'm strong enough.
I am wanted, enemy number one.
I am lying, cause I never fell.
If you need me, follow me to hell.

Love this song and admire the artist. I'm not sure how to explain my take on the song. I guess, in a way it reminds me of a past experience I had with someone.

relationship gone bad. She may appear to be fragile somtimes and in fact can have her fragile moments but she will continue going on because shes of tough substance. She has a strong mind and is pretty much enabled to survive.

haha i make her sound like a robot now. seriously though, i think shes just writing how after a false relationship she may feel fragile shes strong enough to recover and move on.

    Might be wrong. elaborate people?

This is a really good song. I like porcelain doll better though.

I could be wrong but i think this song is about her mom. If you saw her on Dr. Phil maybe you know why i think that. but its just a feeling that i get. I listened to this right after i watched her on the episode so maybe thats why i get that feeling. But again i could be wrong. I'm just guessing.

    Song Meaning

I think the meaning of this song is someone wants her to be something she isn't or can't be, this person wants and/or sees her as something she failed to or just couldn't be. The line "See me as everything I couldn't be" is basically saying what I just said.

"I'm not worth your truth anymore," i think means she's not worth this person anymore because of their "truth" or secret of what or who they are. So, she's not worth the person anymore because they might be a liar or they are just a person who is too consumed in their "dream world" and think she is something she's not; like a being a perfect child (nobody is perfect) or maybe something as small as liking dresses and girly stuff when she is actually a "tom boy". She is basically not worth spending her time with someone who is bad in some way or form anymore because she is now better than them and doesn't deserve them anymore, or maybe she never really deserved them because she could do much better than them.

"I'm numb to the pain that made me sore" means she has been hurt (and felt "sore" after each time) so many times that she is numb to it or can't feel it anymore or maybe even she can still feel it but it doesn't hurt as much as it use to because she has been hurt by this person so many times. It's kinda like when building up callus when playing the guitar so many times. It may hurt a bit still when plucking the strings for a while but it won't hurt as much as it did when first played for the first time.

"Bring me hate watch me bleed again" means when this person hates her she "bleeds" inside (or it could be literally by her cutting her wrists or something) again because she hates to feel hated by this person. As mentioned above they hate her because she isn't something they want her to be.

"Lie to fate let her break what doesn't bend" means this person "lies to Megan's fate" because this person doesn't want Megan's fate to come true. So, this person will "break anything that doesn't bend" or will basically do anything to make sure Megan's fate doesn't come true.

"I am fragile, but I'm strong enough" means she is weak and can break easily but she is strong enough to "keep trucking on" or keep moving no matter how hard it is.

"I am wanted, enemy number one" simply means she is wanted by some but is the number one enemy to this person.

"I am lying, cause I never fell" means she lies to this person or agrees with them when really she doesn't feel the same way about how she should be as a person. So, she is lying to them still because she hasn't become like a robot just to work really hard to become something she isn't just to please them (she never fell).

"If you need me, follow me to hell' means if this person needs her, they will be in for quite the "ride or fight of their life" because she won't give in to them ever.

"I have tried to feel the same as you, But in the end, I can see, that you lied to" means she has tried to feel the same about becoming a different person but she sees that actually the person has lied about something or somethings important, so she won't give into a liar anytime soon.

"Obsess me as everything you want to be" means this person obsesses about her becoming everything the person wants to become but could never be.

"I came undone as you began to fly" means she gave up when the person started to win by, maybe, having other people agree with them and help them change her.

"To be free I'll need my hands tied" means to be free of all of hate coming her way and people wanting her to change, she will have to give in (no matter how much she doesn't want to) and change who she is just to please them and not have to be hated anymore.

    Hope that helped! :D

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
