It was me on that road
But you couldn't see me
Too many lights out, but nowhere near here

It was me on that road
Still you couldn't see me
And then flashlights and explosions

Roads end getting nearer
We cover distance but not together

I am the storm and I am the wonder
And the flashlights, nightmares
And sudden explosions

I don't know what more to ask for
I was given just one wish

It's about you and the sun
A morning run
The story of my maker
What I have and what I ache for

I've got a golden ear
I cut and I spear
What else is there?

Roads end getting nearer
We cover distance still not together

If I am the storm, if I am the wonder
Will I have flashlights, nightmares
And sudden explosions

There's no room where I can go and
You've got secrets too

I don't know what more to ask for
I was given just one wish

    Song Meaning

There are more interpretations right, but non of them where finished or there are holes in there story

Introduction: This song is about dissicions of a sad mid-life-crissed woman who looks back at the moment of her big-love-of-the-past and life. The clip is all about emotions you cant share and de lycris is the story behind that. Its about constant pressure and anxiety in life but no one to turn to. So the video clip is shaped by the womans emotions and the lycris is the story behind that feelings. It is in a dream-state becaus dreams are reality of emotionel expressions(=explosion) of thinks we asking are self in real life this dream (= "nightmare") is a deriorating relationship. A well knowin love story:

Main story: The road of life(=light, seeing or knowing where to go in life) together into the dark (dark=whitout knowing where to go in life(=light)) She just wants his attention, because she feels ignored (=look for the man on the road, even the dog(moste love giving creatures)

"I've got a golden ear, I cut and I spear" The only thing left for her(=because anxiety) asking for more attention through the wrong way (saying spiteful, jealousy, etc) So she has just "given one wish" be him, a wish of basic trust. To be with a man she cannot have annymore.

"It's about you and the sun, A morning run" A reference to HIM (sun=light in here life). "I don't know what more to ask for" "The story of my maker, what I have and what I ache for" He is the maker, he is shaping her live in different ways. He knows he has potential to succeed this relation, knowledge to pursue a further understanding of the logical side of the outsiders perspective, but his intuition is consuming his mind. An unforeseen future clouds his thoughts. He aches for an answer and cries out, "What else is there?" But there is no apparent answer. Only a void that plays with his emotions.(=exploisions)

So the outsiders bring only more suffering, because they only projecting all of the problems of their own lives. Their good memories are clouded by memories of a bad experience of their own. She becomes jealous because he listning more to the outsiders(=people that brings light into the dark besides her own) then her. They've drifted apart (=houses floating away) and taking slowly different roads. "Road's end getting nearer We cover distance, but not together"

Conclusion: You see a floating-state-of-mind (=unwilling freedom, pressure, anxiety), where she tries to toughing the ground (=touching tree in clip), meaning get her shit together. When she tough the ground she takes a good look at herself and snaps. Moments later there is a moment-of-clearity; She is the storm, the wonder of nature that would burst out all of her emotions (=explosions), not because see realist her wrong doing in the past(=nightmare), but because her life is decayed(=X) by asking the same question (=reference to "why"=the last lycris) as he did: "What else is there?"

    X:

    • The fruit is molding
    • she is spilling her milk (losing her ability to bear children)
    • smoking mushrooms(=translation of royksopp) on the tree (Using drugs)

"There's no room where I can go and, You've got secrets too" She has drivin herself years in isolation (=blanket=feeling of closure) as a spinster In the video jou see the puritan collar(English Protestant from the 16th and 17th centurie) of celibacy around her nek when see sitting on the table.

So the main life-lesson is: Dont compare the bad moments of your life. Dont think of the future. Live in the moment, trust your own feelings. Just jump together into the dark!!

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
