"Your Spirit's Alive" as written by and Wallace Barr....
We are the ones who will never be broken
We are the ones who survive
This is the sound that brings us together
You are the one by our side

And through it all, the spirit's alive
And through it all, your spirit's alive

You are the memory that lives on forever
The shadow that stands by our side
This is the sound that keeps us together
We are the ones who survive

Farewell my brother
You're off to the big rink in the sky
The good lord's between the pipes
And you've got Bavis and Ace on the wing

We are the ones who will never be broken
We are the ones who survive

This is the sound that brings us together
You are the one by our side

    General CommentThe liner notes state:
"This song was written in memory of our dear friend Greg "Chickenman" Riley.

When Greg passed away on 5-12-04 the Riley family was kind enough to let us take part in his funeral services and the band was asked to play after the funeral. The experience helped us deal with the grief we were experiencening and helped bring hte different generations of friends and family together through music. This song is about the experiences of that day and the pain of losing one of your best friends.

If you would like to make a donation in Chickenman's memory, please write to
    The Greg "Chickenman" Riley Foundation

"Roslindale native and C.M./B.U. hockey standout Mark Bavis and former Bruin great Ace Bailey were tragically killed aboard United Airlines flight 175 on Sept. 11, 2001

Please check out the Mark Bavis Leadership Foundation at markbavisleadershipfoundation.org"

This song introduces the best album since "Sing Loud, Sing Proud." It seems obvious that the band has been affected in many ways by the events of September 11th as well as the events that followed.

    Keep 'em comin' DKM!

General CommentI know this song was written about Chickenman. But just listening to it brings back memorys of friends past and you just cant help but raise a glass or raise a voice to all those you have lost. And also I saw DKM perform this live and it is just amazing.
