I need your breath to stay alive and make me feel this way
And I need your eyes to look inside and watch how we collide

One more time around and I don't think I'll be allowed
It's the time to tell you

Take me, make me, break
Watch me get wicked and drop like a hand grenade
Take me, make me, break
Watch me get wicked and drop like a hand grenade

What's up is comin' down
And I hope no one's around when it falls

I find it hard to take, sometimes I feel like I could break
And I hope you hear my prayer tonight
Can you hear my cries?

Take me, make me, break
Watch me get wicked like a hand grenade
Take me, make me, break
Watch me get wicked and drop like a hand grenade

What's up is comin' down
And I hope no one's around when it falls x2

Hey you, tell me what you want me to do
Explode like a hand grenade
Hey man, tell me what you want me to say
I'll drop like a hand grenade
Hey!

Take me, make me, break
Watch me get wicked like a hand grenade
Take me, make me, break
Watch me get wicked and drop like a hand grenade x3
watch me get wicked and drop like hand grenades

Yeah i agree this song is definitely beast and i think that this song is about evanglism.

"I need your breath to stay alive"- I think this means he needs God "and make me feel this way" "I need your rise to look inside"- He needs God to help evaluate his decisions and live "Watch how we collide..."- I think he is saying with God 'they' can do a lot

"One more time around" "and I don't think I'll be allowed"- If he waits to long he wont be able to have this chacne so he to take his chance

"Take me, make me break" "Watch me get wicked and drop like hand grenades" "Take me, make me break" "Watch me get wicked and drop like hand grenades"- I think that he is saying that he wants God to take controll of him and he says he'll go crazy "get wicked" and spread what God wants him to "hand grenades"

"Something's coming down" "and I hope noone's around" "when it falls"- He is saying that he hopes nobody is here or where 'something' is and think that Armageden is that 'something' and he wants everyone to know Christ so that they won't be left behind

"I find it hard to take some time"-He is kinda stuggling "I feel like I could break"- He has a decision to make "and I hope you hear my prayer tonight" "Can you hear my cries?"-He is desperately asking God for help

"Hey you," "tell me what you want me to do" "Explode like a hand grenade" "Hey man," "tell me what you me to say"- May have to do with singing "I'll drop like a hand grenade"-Saying that he wants to do God's Will and spread God's command 'grenade'

Yeah so I think that this song is about a dedication to God and it really has a decent message so it is a good song in terms of like 'mom good' and anyway this a mad good song i love to solo to it is pretty beast

Sure it's about God? 'Cause I don't think so. I mean, the verse one and two make sense, but the chorus?! "Get wicked and drop like a handgrenade"? I think he's singing for a girl, ha! The boy looks for love, for a girl, who will change his world.

The first verse "I need your breath to stay alive and make me feel this way I need your rise to look inside Watch how we collide..."

He thinks he will be nobody without somebody, who'll be always close. Somebody, who'll make him feel like his life is meaningful, like he's a perfect person and a real man.

"Take me, make me break Watch me get wicked like a hand grenade"

He wants to belong to a girl that will get him high, who will help him to find something good inside him. He also needs a girl who'll make him just happy, crazy.

"I find it hard to take some time I feel like I could break and I hope you hear my prayer tonight Can you hear my cries?"

He doesn't want to be alone anymore. Maybe he thought he could be a single for the whole life, but then he felt like he "could break". So he prays: "God, help me to find a good girl, a good woman, who can be my wife, who can be the one and only. Of course, You're my God and nobody will never ever mean more to me than You, but You created man and woman, You want us to love each other, help me find somebody to love". The boy wonders if the girl he likes knows he prays for a woman of his life.

Remember - there is nothing wrong when a man wants a woman. It's wrong if he doesn't want to marry her, if he doesn't want to be responsible - this and some other songs by TFK about wanting a girl doesn't say "let's make free love", they say "let's make love". They don't use the word "marriage", but they also don't deny it. God wants some of us to get married, have children etc, etc., there's nothing pervert about it ;).

Maybe I understand it wrong, but love for God is not so sensual like this song, hehe.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
