You don't have to move, you don't have to speak
Lips follow biting.
You're staring me down, a glance makes me weak
Eyes follow striking
Now I'm twisting up when I'm twisted with you
Brush so lightly
And time trickles down, and I'm breathing for two
Squeeze so tightly.
I'll be fine, you'll be fine.
This moment seems so long
Don't waste new, precious time
We'll dance inside the song

What makes the one to shake you down?
Each touch belongs to each new sound
Say now you want to shake me too
Move down to me, slip into you

She sinks in my mind as she sheds through her skin
Touch like taste like fire
Hands to know what I no longer defend
Hands to fuel desire
I'll be fine, you'll be fine
This moment seems so long
Don't waste new, precious time
We'll dance inside the song

What makes the one to shake you down?
Each touch belongs to each new sound
Say now you want to shake me too
Move down to me, slip into you

Ooo, ah
Ooo, ah
Ooo, ah
Ooo, ah [Repeat: x 2]

And I'll be fine, you'll be fine
Is this fine? I'm not fine
Give me pieces, give me things to stay awake (stay awake)

What makes the one to shake you down?
Each touch belongs to each new sound
Say now you want to shake me too
Move down to me, slip into you

What makes the one to shake you down?
Each touch belongs to each new sound
Say now you want to shake me too
Move down to me, slip into you

General CommentPassion. The song is about passion first and foremost.

It signifies being with the one you truly love and who you have longed for. When you finally come together, it's more than just sex--it's passionate love making.

From the opening cords, you can imagine a couple meeting with unequaled anticipation--whether that be a long time coming for both parties or a quick return because they can't get enough of each other.

They stare at each other, lay motionless and mind fuck each other without saying a word. They start to get physical and everything comes so naturally building up to the point they just melt into each other. It's not just sex, it's passion for each others' souls and it's a match made in heaven at least for this moment.

She sinks in my mind as she sheds through her skin. Touch sight tastes like fire. Hands do now what eyes no longer defend...

    HANDS TO FUEL DESIRE!

The song crescendos. This is the climax and at this point their bodies and minds are one. Nothing can get in their way and they are in ecstasy. If they felt like this forever, they would be unbreakable.

Fortunately, they are both experienced and aware that repercussions exist. But right now, nothing else matters. Each second matters, and each second feels longer than just one. It's the first time something incredibly enjoyable feels longer than it really is.

Some people know exactly what this song represents. They have been in a similar situation they can recall so vividly when listening to this. And for those who haven't, get ready, because that moment is coming and you better be ready to embrace it.

This is the best song ever made about passionate love-making. And to think about how many songs out there have been dedicated to passion, love and sex, and it makes for an impressive piece of work.

I'm not even sure the AARs know how significant this song is. One of my top 10 favorites of all time, and the only reason I signed up for Song Meanings.

    Listen to it again.

General CommentFrom the echoey and dreamy opening chords, to Tyson's gentle and passionate falsetto, this entire song spells passion. Whether it be physical, emotional, or both. I feel that it is both... a passionate moment... perhaps with no regrets. But I'm not sure... many mixed messages in this song... alot like the situation it could be very well describing. I am not going to pretend to know what the song is about, because I don't know, but I do know that the song sounds like love. Probably my favorite song on this CD.

General CommentFirst of all, LOVE THIS SONG!

My take on this is that is is a young couple that are deeply in love. They are getting intimate, and they keep saying "I'll be fine, you'll be fine" to try to calm themselves since they know that there will be consequences and things might not always go smooth for them... Great song, captures emotion very well!

General CommentDefinitely this is one of my favorite songs on this cd. But can you believe it that it took me over four months of constant listening to even come close to the realization that this song might be about sex? I guess it takes me a while.

I think it is mainly about sex. There's a lot of passion in the song... both lyrically and vocally on Tyson's part. It's a beautiful song.

I always thought it was Dance Inside the Sun... perhaps it's my fault though. Sucks that we don't have perfect lyrics from the boys on the inside cover. Anyone else struggle for hours to try and deciper it all?

Anyway, with the last bit of "I'm not fine". Perhaps instead of trying to deny that it ever happened, maybe he's denying simply that he's not fine. It was a one time thing. And maybe it turned out to be a bigger deal and more impacting than he orginally thought. "Give me pieces" he says. Perhaps he can't forget nor does he want to.

    I dunno. Just speculating here.

General Commenti don't think it's as hard as it seems. annErocks is right ..... there's definitely sex in this song haha. but i don't think it's about someone you have been with for along time .... i think it's more about a moment spent with someone that you have longed for or lusted after for so long. it's different than anything usual. and he's saying they'll be fine when they wake up and get back to reality, but for right now they have to take advantage of their opportunity.

General CommentI agree with everything above. The lyrics are pretty simple and i like that. The song is sexual, and i think it's about sex with someone new, perhaps a close friend that had never been anything more. The lines "I'll be fine, you'll be fine" are the sort of thing you tell yourself in the moment. Then "I'm not fine" is the confession after a week of acting like it never happened, but thinking about it every minute.

General CommentDefinitely one of the best songs on the new CD. Cannot wait for the official release! And the interlude where it goes, "oohh, oohh, aahh" is great. Still trynig to figure out if it is singing or guitar. Sounds like it could be either. What a wonderful song.

General CommentAlrighty. Yeah, I am leaning towards singing now on that part. As for the missing parts up there in the lyrics. The lyrics say:

    touch, sight, taste like fire
hands do now what eyes no longer defend
    hands to fuel desire

Of course, the song I have the most trouble understanding the lyrics is the hardest to make out in the booklet. Ha. That's how life goes, I guess. And I cannot even find the chorus in the booklet. Boo. Still an amazing song. :)
